Construction: Pressure-balanced expansion joints shall consist of two or more bellows connected by pipe

7、sections or fittings. It shall absorb axial movement and lateral deflection while absorbing the pressure thrust by means of tie devices interconnecting the flow bellows with an opposed bellows also subjected to line pressure. The classification of the expansion joints covered under this specificatio

8、n sheet are as follows: Type I - shall have corrugated bellows. Class 3 - shall be pressure balanced. Materials and finishes. Materials and finishes for the bellows and flanges shall be in accordance with MIL-DTL-17813. The Part or Identifying Number (PIN) consists of the letters M, the basic specif

9、ication number, specification sheet number, size, type, class, pressure rating, and end connection.
