1、A - A - 5 O 8 1 .l Auaust 5, 1981 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION ADHESIVE TAPE, SURGICAL, 1 inch by 1-1/2 yards, 100s This comercial item description covers a short length, adhesive tape which shall be suitable for use in medical and surgical procedures. Sal ient characteri stics : The tape shall be a
2、hypo-reactive, porous, pressure-sensi tive, surgical adhesive tape manufactured entirely of synthetics. The adhesive tape shall be capable of being torn by hand across its width, shall be resistant to water, shall be coated on one side with adhesive and shall not cause adverse reactions with human s
3、kin, either physically or chemically. The adhesive tape shall be one inch wide and shall have a useable length of one and one half yards and shall be evenly wound with the adhesive mass to the inside, on a paper core having an inside diameter of one inch. The adhesive tape shall meet the requirement
4、s of Adhesive Tape, U.S.P., except for tensile strength and adhesive strength as noted below. The backing material shall be ethylene/vinyl acetate and the backing shall be perforated and clear. The end item shall be uniform in quality and free from
8、foreign matter and any defects that will affect life, serviceability, or appearance. Packaging and packing quantities. Unit. Box (BX).
