This Commercial Item Description a w

2、et/dry, electric vacuum cleaner for general use, but also including surgical and sterile preparation areas for infectious waste pick-up. Salient characteristics: The unit shall be a compact, lightweight, self-contained, electric-motor-driven, portable vacuum cleaner capable of being used for both dr

3、y and wet pick-up. The tank shall have a dry capacity of not less than one bushel and a wet capacity of not less than 6.0 gallons. The cleaner shall be suitable for general use and in the vacuum removal of wet and dry microbiological waste from surgical areas and sterile preparation areas. It shall

4、be capable of removing water, other fluid waste materials, small solids, mud-type materials, and dust. The wet/dry vacuum cleaner shall consist of, at least, an electric vacuum motor, tank, carriage, filter system with installed filter mechanism, positive seal hose adapter, easy emptying capability,

5、 and portability. 7、ricated of corrosion- resistant stainless steel. The finish shall be durable and unaffected by contact with any cleaning and sanitizing agents. A 1-1/2 inch diameter positive seal hose adapter shall be provided to assure high flow rate. The filter system shall incorporate a HEPA filter, DOP tested a

8、nd certified to retain 99.97 percent of particles 0.3 micron and larger. Three spare filters, also DOP tested, certified and suitably packaged shall be provided with each vacuum cleaner. Four wheels/casters at least three-inch diameter in size shall be provided. An automatic shut-off system to preve

9、nt overfilling of tank and damage to motor shall be provided. The cleaner shall be capable of at least 80 inch water lift and 95 CFM air flow, with a 1-1/2 inch diameter orifice, with specified filter in place. The unit shall withstand storage and transit conditions in the temperature ranges of minu

10、s 8O0F to 155OF and air pressure of 2.47 psi. The motor shall be rated one HP (0.75 watt), shall be multi- stage, constant duty, by-pass type, 7.2 amps continuous capacity, and shall maintain noise level below Office of Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for commercial vacuum cleaners

11、. All electrical components (including motor) shall be treated for moisture and fungus resistance. The unit shall operate on 115/230 volts, 50-60 Hz for both voltages, AC electrical power. The input power cable shall be non-marking, 18 gage, grounded three-wire cable with strain relief. The three-pr

12、ong male plug shall be according to ANSI C73.11. The length of the power cable shall be a minimum of 20 feet. 14、ctured in accordance with UL requirements for safety. Acceptable evidence of this shall be a UL listing or a crtified test report from an independent laboratory acceptable to the Government. Manuals. The contractor shall furnish manuals, handbooks and/or brochures containing complete operation, inst

15、allation and service/maintenance instructions (including pictures of illustrations, as necessary) with complete schematics and wiring diagrams. All manuals, handbooks, and/or brochures shall be written in the English language and all schematics and wiring diagrams shall use American electrical and e

16、lectronics symbols. The manual shall include electrical data and connection diagrams for all applicable utilities. The instructions shall also contain a complete list of all replaceable parts showing part number, name and quantity required. All service notes, service memos, etc., pertaining to the e

17、quipment and issued subsequent to the printing of the original instructions shall also be included. These instructions shall be, as a minimum, that furnished to service engineers (or servicemen) that normally install and service the equipment for the company or distributor. When the system being pro

18、cured includes, or will operate ancillary equipment, the service data shall include complete instructions and drawings which show interfacing of all system components. Two complete sets of the above information shall be packaged with each unit of the required equipment. Where multiple quantities of

19、the same unit are to be delivered to the same ultimate consignee, then only a total of two service manuals need to be supplied to each consignee. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as

21、 otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth i

22、n the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Records. Records of examinations and tests performed by or for the contractor shall be maintained by the contractor and made available to the Government upon the Govern

23、ments request, at any time, or from time to time, during the performance of the contract and for a period of three years after delivery of the supplies to which such records relate. Inspection. Inspection, as used herein, is defined as both examination (such as visual or auditory investigation witho

24、ut the use of special laboratory appliances or procedures) and testing (determination by technical means of physical and chemical properties) of the item. Samplinq for examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 1.0 (percent defective) and

25、an inspection level of II. The unit of product for examination purposes shall be one vacuum cleaner with accessories. Samplinq for tests. Sampling for tests, including dimensional test, shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105, with an AQL of 1.0 (percent defective) and an inspection level

Where feasible, the same sample shall be used for the determination of two or more test characteristics. Tests shall inc

If a product is manufactured to metric dimensions and those dimensions exceed the tolerances specified in the inch/pound units, a request should be made to the contrac

30、ting officer to determine if the product is acceptable. The contracting officer has the option of accepting or rejecting the product. Contractor certification. maintain substantiating evidence that the prodact offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that th

31、e product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. The contr
