7、 any phosphor(s) with designation MM, contact the Matsushita sales off ice. 4 EIA TEPLLb-C 93 m 3234b00 O504837 LO9 m - TEP-116-C - 3.0 GUIDELINES ON TIIE REGISTRATION OF NEW PHOSPHORS Normally one or more of the following must be satisfied for a new phosphor to be registered separately from a pre-e

8、xisting phosphor: A. Color different by .O2 in x or y B. Persistence falls into a different category (e.geI long vs. medium) . C. Minor differences in chemical composition (e.g. activators or blend ratios) that do not affect A or B above will be identified by a third letter suffix to the two letter

9、designation previously assigned to the first phosphor in the family. Existing phosphors identified by two letter designations are understood to have third letter suffix nAtl which indicates no change to the originally registered phosphor. These will serve as reference phosphors in the development of

10、 any new families of related phosphors. For muti-coior screens (e.g., D, S; v or x types) the screen may be registered separately if any component qualifies under A, B or C. The original registrant is encouraged to specify a color box on phosphors where applicable to reduce the proliferation of phos

11、phor designations. e 4.0 OUTLINE OF INFORMATION TO BE SUPPLIED TO EIA FOR REGISTRATION OF A NEW PHOSPHOR 4.1 Color Information (See TEP-105-1lA) 1. Spectral Energy Distribution Curves: a. Tube Operating Conditions b. CIE Coordinates ( 1931 System and/or 1976 CIE/UCC System) Instrumentation - especia

12、lly optical band-width 2. NOTE: The following must be provided if color is measured separately from SED: a. Operating Conditions b. Instrumentation 2- especially optical band-width 5 TEP- 1 16-C - 3. 4. Color name as determined from Kelly Chart Color as a Function of Anode Voltage (where applicable)

13、. For penetration type screens, all the information required in Paragraph A shall be presented for at least the two extreme limits of the intended color range. The required anode voltages to attain this color shift shall be designated. 4.2 Luminescence as a Function of Time (See TEP-105-14) 1. Decay

14、 curve of light output versus time 2. Integrated light remaining curve 3. Classification of decay time to 10% of the integrated light remaining became effective in January 1985. 1 sec or over Very long 1 msec. - 100 msec. Medium 10 usec. - 1 msec. Medium short Less than 1 usec. Very short 100 msec.

Ripple ratios (optional) 4.3 Intended Use State, for example, entertainment, oscillography, monitor, projection, radar, etc. 4.4 Composition State general chemical composition of the phosphor. For blended phosphors and multi-component screens, state the composition of each componen

16、t separately. For blends, state the blend ratio. If anycomponent is registered independently, state its designation. 4.5 Special Characteristics (where applicable) State, for example, secondary emlzsion properties, color shift under certain operating corzitions, sensitivity to burning (See TEP-105-1

17、5), safety precautions; etc. The SED and persistence curves should be submitted as camera ready copy on (8 1/2“ x 11“) or (210 mm x 297 mm) size paper or smaller. Other data shall be submitted on a copy of the enclosed form. 4.5.1 6 EIA TEPLLb-C 93 M 3234600 0504L9 TL M -.- TEP-1 16-C 4.5.2 The SED,

18、 persistence and other properties of a phosphor should be measured in accordance with the procedures in Publication TEP-105. Deviations from these procedures will be accepted if justified by the intended use or unusual properties of a particular ,screen. All deviations should be stated in the regist

19、ration application. 4.5.3 Field data should be submitted with the original request . If an application does not contain adequate data,. a designation will be assigned temporarily and reservedfor up to six months. The . registration will not become official unless complete data is supplied within tha

20、t time. Refer to TEP-105-16; Philips Technical Review, Vol. 44, No. 11/12 November 1989, and Electrochemical Society extended abstracts October 1987, to record linearity measurements of phosphor at appropriate energy level densities. This information is to be provided at the time of requesting phosp
