22、dard as stated in EN 1070. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of t
23、his type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. 1 Scope !This standard specifies the essential safety requirements applicable to the design and construction of strand p
24、elletisers used for plastics and rubber and fed continuously by an extruder or a reactor. The machine begins with the feed opening of the feeding device, or start-up devices if fitted, and ends with the discharge area. Only the significant hazards listed in clause 4 and dealt with in clause 5 are su

NOTE Directive 94/9/EC concerning equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres can be applicable to the type of machine or equipment covered by this European Standard.
