Insufficient or inappropriate packaging can lead to damage or wastage of the contents of the pack. 1 Scope This
19、European Standard specifies the dimensions of a cork mouth finish for corks and capsules for glass bottles, for wine that has a carbonation pressure not exceeding 1,2 g C02/i, for use with natural corks. 2 Normative References This European Standard incorporates, by dated or undated reference, provi

22、 characteristics, sampling, packaging and marking 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this standard, the following term and definition apply: 3.1 Through bore Through bore of a bottle is the maximum diameter of a round rod able to penetrate vertically into the body of the bottle. 4 Dimension
23、s 4.1 The dimension of the finish shall be as shown in Figure 1. 4.2 Details which are not specified shall be selected in accordance with the application. For linear and angular dimensions, see EN 22768-1. Detail X see Figure 2. 4.3 Since the performance of an appropriate packaging depends on the co
24、mbination of several parameters, the nominal dimensions of the cork stoppers to be used with this finish design shall be in accordance with IS0 3863. NOTE: Experience shows that because of the several parameters involved advice should be taken from cork suppliers. 5 Requirements (see Figure 1) 5.1 d
25、,: The diameter of the entry bore is the intemal diameter approximately 3 mm below the top of the finish. 5.2 The ovality of the entry bore shall not exceed 0,5 mm.
