7、 unbroken ocular becomes detached from the frame, or if the ball passes through the housing or frame. 4.3.2 Resistance to corrosion As in 7.1.6 of prEN 166:1998. 4.3.3 Resistance to fogging Eye protectors shall remain free from fogging for a minimum of 15 s when tested in accordance with 5.1 O. 4.4

8、Optional requirements 4.4.1 Enhanced infrared absorption If oculars are described as having enhanced infrared absorption, they shall comply with the last column of Table 2. 5 Testing 5.1 Visual inspection Use visual inspection to evaluate the design and manufacture of the eye protector. 5.2 Field of

9、 vision The testing procedure shall be in accordance with 6.1 of prEN 174:1998. 5.3 Refractive powers The apparatus and testing procedure shall be as given in 3.2 of prEN 167:1998. 5.4 Transmittance 5.4.1 Luminous transmittance The testing procedure shall be as given in 6.1.1.1 of EN 1836:1997 O BSI

11、n luminous transmittance The variations in luminous transmittance shall be measured in accordance with 7.2 of prEN 167:1998. 5.6 Diffusion of light The measurement shall be in accordance with one of the reference methods specified in prEN 167:1998 Clause 4. 5.7 Quality of material and surface The ap

12、paratus and testing procedure shall be as given in prEN 167:1998 Clause 5. 5.8 Resistance to ultraviolet radiation Carry out the test as described in Clause 6 of prEN 168:1998 with the following differences: a) new lamps shall be burned in for at least 150 h; b) use an irradiation time of (25 f 0,l)

13、 h; c) use an ozone free lamp; d) stabilize the lamp current at (25 f 0,2) A. NOTE: Suitable lamp references are XB0-450 OFR and CSX-450 OFR). 5.9 Impact resistance Apparatus and procedure shall be as defined in 6.4 of prEN 174:1998. The pre-conditioning shall be at temperature 40 “C for a minimum o

14、f 1 hour. Perform the test within 30 s after taking the sample from the climate chamber. 5.10 Resistance to corrosion The apparatus and testing procedure shall be as given in prEN 168:1998 Clause 8. 5.1 I Resistance to fogging Oculars shall be subjected to the testing procedure as given in prEN 168:

16、3b0 837 Page 9 EN 131 78:2000 6 Information 6.1 Information supplied by the manufacturer The manufacturer shall provide with each eye-protector at least the following information: a) name and address of the manufacturer or supplier; b) the number of this European Standard and the year of its publica

17、tion; c) model identification; d) instructions for storage, use and maintenance; e) specific instructions for cleaning; f) details of the protection capabilities, performance characteristics, and the corresponding limits of use; g) details of suitable accessories and spare parts with instructions fo

18、r fitting and a list of suitable helmets, if relevant; h) the significance of the marking on the frame and ocular. 6.2 Information which shall be available from the manufacturer or supplier The transmittance curve of the filter lens. 7 Marking 7.1 Oculars Oculars shall be legibly and permanently mar

19、ked with the following information in the order given: a) filter category; b) identification of the manufacturer; c) optical class. EXAMPLE: Filter category Identification of the manufacturer Optical class .I The marking shall not encroach within the field of vision as specified in 4.2.1. 7.2 Frames

20、 Frames shall be legibly and permanently marked with the following information in the order given: a) identification of the manufacturer; b) the number of this standard. 21、b24bb OBb1i3bL 773 2 Page 10 EN 131 78:2000 Annex A (informative) Uncertainty of measurement and results interpretation A.1 Test report and uncertainty of measurement For each of the required measurements performed in accordance with this standard, a corresponding estimate of the uncertainty of meas

22、urement shall be evaluated. This estimate of uncertainty shall be applied and stated when reporting test results, in order to enable the user of the test report to assess the reliability of the data. The following protocol with regard to uncertainty of measurement shall be applied to test results: I

23、f the limit value for the particular test given in the standard, falls outside of the range of values calculated from the test data plus/minus the uncertainty U of measurement, then the result shall be deemed to be a straightforward pass or fail (Figures A.l and A.2). 1 Key I Result of a measurement
