22、 consumption of the electrically propelled road vehicles (pure electric vehicles). This standard applies to the categories of vehicles MI, Mz, N1 and N2l) motor tricycles and quadricycles2) from the motocycles type. This standard does not apply to electric hybrid or partially electrically propelled

23、road vehicles. NOTE. 26、ply: 3.1 energy consumption The quantity of active energy from the mains, divided by the test distance travelled, that the vehicle uses after driving one of the two proposed test sequences (see 4.1), from a fully charged battery, expressed in watthours per kilometre. 27、e Distance covered in kilometres by an electric vehicle over the test sequence no 2 from a fully charged battery (see 7.1.3 in EN 1821-1 : 1996) to the end of test criteria. 4 Bst sequences 4.1 Composition Test sequence no 1 (see figure 1) is composed of one urban cycle made of four basic urban cycl

28、es. Its theroretical average speed is 18,77 km/h. Test sequence no 2 is composed of two parts (see figure 1): - an urban cycle made of four basic urban cycles; - an extra-urban cycle. Its theoretical average is 33.6 km/h. NOTE. These cycles are the same as those described in Directive 91/441/EEC, ex

29、cept the changing gear steps. In the case where the vehicle is fitted with a manual gear box with several gears, the test driver shall change the gear in order to best match the reference curve. if the vehicle has several driving modes (sport, comfort, economical, etc.) which can be selected by the

30、test driver, the one to best match the reference curve shall be selected. 4.1.1 Urban cycle The urban cycle is composed of four basic cycles of 195 s each and lasts 780 s in total. The description of the basic urban cycle is given in figure 2 and table 1. Categories of vehicles M, Ma, NI and N, are

31、defined in Directive 9Z63EEC. 2, Motor tricycles and quadricycles are defined in Directive 92/61/EEC. Extra-urban cycle 4.1.2 Extra-urban cgcle The description of the extra-urban cycle is given in figure 3 and table 2. 4.2 Toleranc

35、es Tolerances on speed to be observed in following the test sequences no 1 and no 2 are given in figure 4. Tolemces on speed (k 2 m) and on time (k 1 s) are geometncdy combined at each point as represented in figure 4. Below 50 km/h, the deviations beyond this tolerance are permitted as follows: The

36、 total time out of tolerance has to be mentioned in the test report. Over or equal to 50 km/h, it is accepted to go beyond tolerances provided the accelerator pedal is fully depressed. 4.3 End of test sequence criteria The end Of test sequence Criteria is when the vehicle is not able to meet the ref

37、erence C-e UP to 50 m, Or when an indication from the on board instrumentation is given to the driver that he has to stop the vehicle. - at gear changes for a duration less than 5 s; - and up to five times per hour at other times, for a duration less than 5 s each. 39、1 BS EN LSBb-1-ENGL L997 m lb24bb7 UbS74L9 931 5 Measurement of the energy consumption 6.1 Principle The test method described hereafter permits to measure the electric energy consumption at the mains, in WMnn, after having performed seven times test sequence no 1 or two times test sequence no 2. Th

40、e choice shaU be noted in the test report. The choice between the two possibilities can be guided with the following considerations: - requirement from the test orderer, - comparative test between several electsic vehicles, whereas the first possibility (seven times test sequence no 1) is more appro

41、priate, especially when one of the vehicles is not able to follow the speed target curve of the extra-urban part of the test sequence no 2; - comparative test between the electric vehicle and an Internal Combustion Engine vehicle, whereas the second possibility (two times test sequence no 2) is more

42、 appropriate. 6.2 Equipment All the equipment requirements of Directive 91/441/EEC shall apply 6.3 Parameters, units and accuracy of measurements Table 3. 44、e tyres are at the ambient temperature. b) The viscosity of the oils for the mechanical moving parts shall conform to the specifications of the vehicle manufacturer. c) The lighting and light signaliing and aiualicuy devices shall be off, except those required for testhg and usual day-time operation

45、 of the vehicle. d) Au energy storage systems available for other than traction purposes (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic etc.) shall be charged up to their maximum level specified by the vehicle manufacturer. e) If the batteries are operated above the ambiant temperature, the operator shall foliow t

46、he procedure recommended by the vehicle manufacturer in order to keep the temperature of the battery in the normal operating range. The vehicle manufacturer agent shall be in a position to attest that the thermal management system of the battery is not off, neither reduced. f) The vehicle shall have

47、 been driven at least 300 km in the seven days before the test with those batteries that are instailed in the test vehicle. 5.4.2 Ambient temperature conditions For all the test steps which are carried out outside, the ambient temperature shall be between 5 “C and 32 “C. For those test steps which a

48、re carried out indoors, the ambient temperature shall be between 20 “C and 30 “C. 5.6 Test procedure The test procedure includes the four following steps: - initia charge of the battery; - application of either seven times test sequence no 1 or two times test sequence no 2 as defined in 4.1; - charg

49、e of the battery; - calculation of energy consumption. Between each step, if the vehicle moves, it shall be pushed to the following test area (without regenerative recharging). O BSI 1997 Page 10 EN 1986-1 : 1997 Initial charge of the battery applies to the first charge of the battery at the reception of the vehicle. in case of several combined tests or measurements carried out consecutively, the first charge carried out shali be an initial charge of the battery and the following can be done in accordance with the normal charging procedure (see
