20、specifies the particular requirements for ingots in aluminium or magnesium alloys intended for the manufacture of castings. 21、t 1 General requirements. 3 Dimensions and tolerances The form, mass, dimensions and tolerances of ingots shall be defined by agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser. The frequency of examination adopted by the manufacturer shall be sufficient to permit him to certify compliance with th
22、e requirements. 4 Internal defects The ingots shall not contain defects prejudicial to their intended use. Unless otherwise agreed between the manufacturer and the purchaser and specified on the order or in the inspection schedule, test methods and acceptance criteria shall be at the option of the m
23、anufacturer. The frequency of examination adopted by the manufacturer shall be sufficient to permit him to certify compliance with the requirements. 5 External defects Ingots shall be visually examined and shall be free from corrosion, salt or slag inclusions, grease or any other foreign matter incl
24、uding paint, other than that approved for marking. The frequency of examination adopted by the manufacturer shall be sufficient to permit him to certify compliance with the requirements. 6 Chemical analysis See EN 2076-1. 7 Marking 7.1 Unless otherwise specified on the order, all products shall bear
25、 the following identification marking: Material standard, Cast number, Identification of the manufacturer and the plant, Such other marking as will ensure full identification. 7.2 Unless otherwise specified on the order, the method of marking shall be at the option of the manufacturer provided the m
