The position of the test piece is not critical, provided the minimum distance of the joints between each other and the sides and bottom of the container is 10 mm.

42、The exposure time shall be estimated from the time the test fluid has reached the test temperature specified in the Table 1. Each test shall start with fresh fluid that shall not be changed during the test. 8.2 Cleaning Immediately after exposure, the test pieces shall be cleaned with water (maximum

Judge the adhesive faced side of the thick (1,6 mm) adherent without any removal of adhesive as follows: All areas where the thick

All areas where the thin adherent only, or both thin and thick adherents have been attacked are recognised by corrosion residues on the adhesive surface or by a sudden change in type of failure.

49、 Establish in cm2the bond line area that has been changed by corrosion and/or hydration of the metal surface. Establishing the attacked area Aacan be done with the aid of transparent graph paper. Calculate the percentage of attacked area as follows: Aa= A1/A2. 100 % where: A1 total area of attacked surface; A2 total area of bonded joint. 9.3 Shear stress and shear strain tests 9.3.1 Calculation of reduction in shear stress The shear strength per test
