14、ogical tests for doors, windows, fastenings and their building hardware”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. It is the second of a series applicable to doors. Work on it was undertaken in June1971 by the group of experts EG3 “Door tests” created in February1971 by the working group, and the
15、method was accepted in1972 by CEN/WG33. This European Standard was adopted by CEN on30 December1974, on the strength of its acceptance by the following member countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland and United Kingdom. 17、easure the dimensions and the defects of squareness of door leaves. 2 Field of application This standard can be applied to all doors which are nominally flat and rigid. 3 Principle of the method The measurement of dimensions and of the defects of squareness of a door leaf consist in taking: 4 Operat
18、ing method 4.1 Measurement of height. The height is measured along the lines aa and bb (see Figure 1) parallel to and not more than20mm from the two longitudinal edges. 4.2 Measurement of width. The width is measured along the lines cc and dd (see Figure 1) parallel to and not more than20mm from the
19、 transverse edges. 4.3 Measurement of thickness. The thickness is measured at6points located approximately20mm from the edges and at the positions indicated on Figure 1. 4.4 Measurement of defects of squareness. The deviation from squareness of adjacent edges of the door leaf is determined at all fo
20、urs corners of the door leaf with a square with arms500mm long. 5 Accuracy of measurement The height and width are to be measured with a maximum uncertainty of 0.5mm. The thickness and deviation from squareness are to be measured with a maximum uncertainty of 0.1mm. 6 Statement of results The result
21、s of all the measurements are to be noted in the report. The height and width are to be rounded to the nearest millimetre.
