9、ll conform to one of the following two methods: .- either by conventional drawing of the rivets. This method is more particularly riiihle for drawings containing - or by the use of symbols. This method is more specially suited for drawings coniaining a large nurnber O rivets a small number ot rivets

10、, or when the use of symbols does not offer all the Safeguards for understariding. I and is covered by the followirig clauses of this standzrd. It shall meet the requireinents arising from nicrccopving and reproduction of drawings. 3 Presentation of symbols 7 he teference of this standard shall be q

11、uoted in all drawings contairihg rivets by this sfmbol method. 3.1 Symbols for a set rivet A ret rivet is indicated by a cross. a? 15、reformed head. If the preformed head appears distinctly on the drawing, the letter is unnecessary. - N for Near side - F for far side Examples : rc 1 Symbol Significance - Preiormed head, near side Preformed head, far side II- 11 The use of letter R is opticinal. If it is used, it shall be followed

17、n equilateral triangle orientated as follows in the quadrant : - v for the-near side - A for the far side If this countersink appears clearly on the drawing, indication by a triangle is unnecessary. If the countersink angle is loOD, the triangle is sufficient. if the countersink angle is other than

18、loo, the value of the angle is placed on the right of the triangle. 20、3.1.3.1 and 3.1.3.2 . If appropriate, the angle shall be quoted after those symbols. 22、e indications are given either in the drawing, if space is available, (ir outside it, with an arrow indicating the Wrresponding rivet assembly. Examples: .- 52.2 The position of the rivets as well as the riveting pitch shall be indicated with dimensions iy conventional drawing methods. When the rivets arc aligned, identical and equi-distant, the indications should be entered in the first and last cross of the series. Example: 4 I VI I I I I
