8、Association fianaise de Normalisation (AFNOR). Within its programme of work, Technical Committee CEN/TC 132 entrusted CEN/TC 132/WG 7 Sheet, strip and plate to work out the following standard: EN 485-4 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Sheet, strip and plate - Part 4: lblerances on dimensions and for

9、m for cold-rolled products. This standard is part of a set of four standards. The other standards deal with: EN 485-1 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Sheet, strip and plate - Part 1: %chnical conditions for inspection and delivery. EN 485-2 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Sheet, strip and plate -

10、Part 2: Mechanical properties. EN 485-3 Aluminium and aluminium alloys - Sheet, strip and plate - Part 3: lblerances on dimensions and form for hot-rolled products. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement,

14、ld-rolling, for general engineering applications. It applies to products with a thickness over 0,20 mm up to and including 50 mm. It does not apply to semi-finished rolled products in coiled form to be subjected to further rolling (reroll stock) or to special products such as corrugated, embossed, e

15、tc. sheet and strip or to special applications such as aerospace, can stock, etc. which are dealt with in separate European Standards. Technical conditions for inspection and delivery of products covered by this standard are specified in Eh 485- 1. 2 Normative references This European Standard incor

16、porates by dated or undated reference, provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text and the publications are listed hereafter. For dated references, subsequent amendments to or revisions of any of these publications apply to this Euro

For undated references the latest edition of the publication referred to applies. 3 Dimensional toleranc 3.1 Thickness Page 3 EN 4854 : 1993 S 3.1.1 For the purpose of this European Standard the alloys are distributed into two grou

18、ps which correspond to varying difficulty when manufacturing the products. Tighter thickness tolerances apply to Group I alloys (soft alloys). The grouping is carried out according to the specified chenucal composition limits of the alloys (see EN 573-3) as follows: - Group I alloys: - 1000 series a

19、lloys; - non heat-treatable 7000 and 8000 series alloys; - 4000 series alloys with less than 2 $6 maximum specified silicon content; - 3000 and 5000 series alloys for which the maximum specified magnesium and manganese contents are each no greater than 1,s % and their sum no greater than 2,3 %. - al

20、l alloys which do not belong to Group I. The split into Group I and Group II of the most commonly used general engineering alloys is given in annex A (see table Al). 3.1.2 Thickness tolerances for sheet, strip and plate are specified in table 1. 3.1.3 Other thickness tolerances may be agreed between
