17、at of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2004, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2004. The standard specifies requir
18、ements for round steel link chains for studless anchor chains within the meaning of the Council Directive 82/714 EEC of 4 October 1982 laying down technical requirements for inland navigation vessels. In inland navigation, round steel link chains with a pitch of 2,8 d have proven successful for stud
19、less anchor chains over several years. Stud-link anchor chains, used particularly for sea-going vessels, are standardized in ISO 1704. Accessories for the complete studless anchor chain, such as joining links, swivel shackles and swivels are covered in prEN 14606. Annexes A and B are informative. Th

EN 14330:2003 (E) 4 1 Scope This standard applies to round steel link chains with a pitch of 2,8 d of strength grade 2 from which studless anchor chains for inland navigation vess
22、els are made with the relevant accessories, e.g. joining links, swivel shackles and swivels. This standard specifies dimensions, mechanical properties, data for designation, marking and test conditions. 30、ions 4.1.1 Diameter d The diameter d of the round steel link chain shall be as given in Table 1. 36、in 4.2.2 to 4.2.4, the chain manufacturer shall use a steel such that the manufactured round steel link chain, after heat treatment as described in 4.3, meets the requirements regarding mechanical properties as specified in 4.4. 4.2.2 Steel grade The steel used shall be manufactured by an electric p
37、rocess or by an oxygen blown process. 4.2.3 Deoxidation The steel shall be fully killed as defined in EN 10025 and be resistant to ageing and when tested as described in ISO 643 shall have an austenitic or ferritic grain size of 5 or less. EN 14330:2003 (E) 8 4.2.4 Chemical composition The steel sha
38、ll contain at least 0,025 % by mass of aluminium in order to ensure the resistance to ageing of the round steel link chain during use. 39、ement Cast analysis Product analysis Sulfur 0,025 0,030 Phosphorus 0,025 0,030 4.3 Heat treatment After being welded, the whole round link steel chain shall be subjected to heat treatment by heating up to a temperature above the upper transformation point Ac 3 . 4.4 Mechanical properties 4.4.1 Manuf
40、acturing proof force The whole round steel link chain shall be subjected to the manufacturing proof force specified in Table 3. 4.4.2 Breaking force Round steel link chains shall have a breaking force equivalent to at least the values given in Table 3. The breaking forces in Table 3 apply to chains
41、with a naturally black surface condition. The breaking force values are reduced by a maximum of 10 % for other surface conditions. NOTE With other surface conditions, in spite of the material having the same tensile strength, the breaking force values are reduced during the tensile test because of t
42、he different coefficients of friction in the contact points of the chain links. 4.4.3 Total ultimate elongation On completion of the static tensile test, the total ultimate elongation of chains with the naturally black surface condition shall be at least 25 % and at least 20 % for other surface cond
43、itions. 4.4.4 Deflection The chain links shall withstand the deflection f as specified in Table 3 and be free of cracks and visible defects. 45、cturing proof force as specified in 4.4.1. 5.2 Size of lot and selection of samples The size of the lot from which the samples are taken shall be 200 m. Any fraction of length in excess of this shall also be regarded as a lot. Samples shall be selected as specified in EN 818-1. 5.3 Verification of g
46、auge length l The gauge length l shall be measured in the unloaded state of the round steel link chain at least once every lot size. 5.4 Breaking force and total ultimate elongation 5.4.1 Static tensile test The testing machine and test procedure for the static tensile test shall meet the requiremen
47、ts of EN 818-1. The samples specified in 5.2 shall be tested. 5.4.2 Breaking force and total ultimate elongation After completion of the static tensile test, the requirements of 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 shall be met. EN 14330:2003 (E) 10 5.5 Deflection 5.5.1 Bend test The test equipment and the test procedur
48、e shall meet the requirements of EN 818-1. The samples specified in 5.2 shall be tested Each individual sample link shall be bent up to minimum value f as indicated in Table 3 and shown in Figure 2. After removal of the force, the sample link shall be examined by an expert. If necessary, a surface coating shall be removed after the bend test to facilitate the examination.
