The equipment concerned and the extent to which hazards and hazardous situ

23、ations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machi

24、nes that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. Where for clarity an example of a preventative measure is given in the text, this should not be considered as the only possible solution. Any other solution leading to the same risk reduction is permissible if

25、 an equivalent level of safety is achieved. This European Standard assumes that the equipment is operated and maintained by trained personnel. BS EN 14656:2006+A1:2010EN 14656:2006+A1:2010 (E) 5 1 Scope This European Standard applies to: extrusion presses from the exit side of the heater through ass

26、ociated handling, cooling and quenching equipment including, e.g. the puller, the hot saw, the run-out table, the stretcher, the cold saw, cold saw table and/or coiler when incorporated into the equipment, to a point where the extruded product is passed to associated finishing equipment. It specifie

27、s the health and safety requirements at all stages in the life of the equipment, its design, ordering, construction, use and disposal. This European Standard specifies requirements to be met by the manufacturer to ensure the health and safety of persons during construction, transport, commissioning,

28、 operation, maintenance and de-commissioning, as well as in the event of foreseeable faults as malfunctions which may occur in the equipment. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to extrusion presses when they are used as intended and un

29、der conditions which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
