18、1:2009EN 15583-1:2009 (E) 4 1 Scope This document is valid for snow ploughs designed to be fitted to winter maintenance vehicles, on their front-mounting plates according to EN 15432 and also for side-mounted snow ploughs. Demands on design and construction of front-mounted or side-mounted snow plou
19、ghs for winter service are determined by this document. This document is meant to assess the demands made on snow ploughs operated in traffic. The document is valid for: single-side snow ploughs; variable V-ploughs. The following points are not standardized by this document: v-shaped snow ploughs; r
20、equirements for registration and approval; requirements made by carrier vehicle manufacturers; requirements on safety these are dealt with in EN 13021. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. 24、 5 4 Requirements 4.1 General The snow plough shall be designed to enable handling during winter service and efficient mounting onto and demounting from a carrier vehicle. The snow plough is designed to clear snow or ice off traffic areas, by unsticking it laterally on one side or both sides. 4.2 Di
25、mensions The relevant geometrical configurations are defined as shown in Figures 1 and 2. 33、all be equipped with an override system. A proof of function shall be given test according to prEN 15583-2 (in preparation). If the manufacturer indicates higher quality characteristics than described in EN 13021, then the changed parameters shall be declared. The test methods shall be described lik
34、ewise. The individual test parameters, clearing speed and obstacle height shall be the minimum requirement. The diameter of the obstacle shall not be changed. If the plough has two different scraper blades at the same time (double scraper strip system), the test shall be taken for both scraper blade
35、s. 4.4 Override protection for front-mounted ice scrapers Front mounted ice scrapers shall be equipped with an override system. After the following described parameters the snow plough should not have any functional damage: a) snow plough in floating position; BS EN 15583-1:2009EN 15583-1:2009 (E) 1
36、0 b) scraping blades in the material prescribed by the manufacturer for principal use; c) clearing speed 5 km/h. A proof of function shall be given test according to prEN 15583-2 (in preparation). 4.5 Bump protection of side-mounted snow ploughs During clearing service, a suitable overload protectio
37、n shall permit bumping into lateral obstacles at a speed of 40 km/h. Impacts acting upon the carrier vehicle shall be damped in such a way that there is no risk of damage to the vehicle. 38、ed snow ploughs Front-mounted snow ploughs shall be fitted with a device to change the angle from left to right and vice versa. For technical requirements and testing methods see prEN 15583-2 (in preparation). 4.7 Side reverse of front-mounted variable V-Ploughs Front-mounted variable V-ploughs shal
39、l be fitted with a device to change the angle from left to right and vice versa. After the following described parameters the V-plough should not have any functional damage: a) variable V-Plough in floating position; b) variable V-Plough with one wing open and the other wing closed; c) scraping blad
40、es in the material prescribed by the manufacturer for principal use; d) clearing speed 5 km/h. For technical requirements and testing methods see prEN 15583-2 (in preparation). 4.8 Side reverse of front-mounted ice scrapers Front-mounted ice scrapers shall be fitted with a device to change the angle
41、 from left to right and vice versa. With a clearing speed of 5 km/h the ice scrapers should not have any functional damage. For technical requirements and testing methods see prEN 15583-2 (in preparation). 4.9 Raising and lowering of snow ploughs Raising and lowering shall be possible by means of re
42、mote-control mounted in the drivers cab. The clearance between ground level and the bottom edge of the snow plough shall not be less than 250 mm. 45、 castor wheels and sliding shoes shall be height-adjustable. 4.11 Drive by hydraulic equipment of carrier vehicle For this mode of drive EN 15431 applies. 4.12 Repair and maintenance In case special tools are required, they shall be offered by the manufacturer. 4.13 Outdoor storing Outdoor storing s

Care and maintenance instructions shall be supplied by the manufacturer. 4.14 Side-fenders If side-fenders are mounted, they shall be replaceable. 4.15 Scraper blades Scraper blades shall comply with the following demands: a) wear
47、 and tear without splintering; b) solid mountings on plough section; c) exchangeable. A list of possible useable scraper blades shall be given by the manufacturer to the customer. 4.16 Demounting equipment Front-mounting snow plough shall be able to be coupled to the front-mounting plate according t
48、o EN 15432. 4.17 Operating manual The following points shall be referred to in the operating manual: a) weight of snow plough and optional accessories - individually listed; b) types of suitable control systems to operate the plough; c) technical dimensions according to 4.2; d) maintenance instructi
49、ons according to EN 13021.
