This guide does not detemine the type of specification (e.g. detailed, performance, functional) or the extent of supply for any given contmct which is mmzally decided on the basis of thepu

O BSI 09-1999 Page 6 EN 45510-2-21999 4.3 Equipment task The specification should akscribe in general terms the function, task or rok of the equipment to be purchased, e.g. whe

31、ther it is part of a new power generating plant, a modification to an existing power generating plant or replacement equipment Where appropriate, the specscation should define the function and the known limitations, if any, in the equipment connecte io ht which is being supplied so ULat the equipmen

32、t may avoid imposing adverse conditions or the supplier may suggest modcations to connected equipment which would ensure satisfactory operatwn. 4.4 Equipment to be purchased The specification may define the equipment type or arrangement to be purchased. For example, the purchaser may spec: type of r

33、ectifier and inverter; type of battery cell; numbers of rectifiers, inverters, batteries and switches (for a parcular application). The specification may define preferences with regard to the UPS configuration, e.g. single UPS with bypass, to be provided to achieve the required level of continuity a

34、nd capacity of load output. Where appropriate, this should include a schemaic diagram of the proposed UPS system showing any connections to other ac. or d.c. systems. For further guidance refer to the EN 50091 series. The specification may these should be to a recognized European or intematiorztll s

35、tunurd. 4.7 Other interfaces The specmcation should define the in.faces with existing amiL!arg or mm anciary equipment to be supplied under separate contracts which interact directly with the equipment. For example, ciwii worlcs, manage, or ternpomry systems. 4.8 Project programme The specification

36、should describe the overd programme a,nd timescale in which the project is to be carried out. This may include the prmipal dates associated with temiering, placement of orders, access to site, start a, control panel, harmonic filter equipment, cabling system; accessories: battery accessories, specia

37、l maintenance and testing equipment; spare parts: recommended lists and protection during storage; site activities: transport, storage, instailation and commissioning; tests: works tests, site testing; documentation: instaliation, operation and maintenance manuals, test reports. The scope of supply

38、may also include the dismanhg and safe disposal, e.g. by recyciing of cell components, of a redundant instailation, inspection and maintenance during the defects liability period, training and technical support, lay-out studies, etc. O BSI 09-1999 Consideration should ais0 be given to the guide for

42、nnections, control and instrumentation signah, earthing points, etc. The specwcation should - loss of normal operating environment, e.g. failure of ventilation or heating system; - earthquake (seismic); - battery switched out of service for long periods; - presence of water, e.g. due to leakage; - r

43、esistance to re; - abuse or external aggressions. For further guidance refer to EN 50091 series. In respect of electrical conditions, the equipment should be designed to achieve and maintajn satisfactory operation under such sudden inpu/output variatons of load, voltage and frequency, as may be met

44、under service conditions, including those due to transients, short circuits and other fault conditions. The design should also ensure that damage and malfunction does not occur. 7.7 Further operational requirements Not applicable to this guide. 8 Life expectancy 8.1 Design life 8.1.1 General This sh

45、ould be a spec period which takes into amount the anticipated operating regime and recommended marintenance a,n wiU broady equate to the stated operating hours (see 7.4). The specification shouid dne the design life of components which may be subject to periodic replacement. The supplier should defi

46、ne limitatians on equipment life, if any, an - stored energy time; - restored energy time, e.g. under full load conditions; - ac. output voltage and frequency range at full load; - accuracy of control of output voltage andor frequency and stability; - transfer time and synchronization; - battea rect

47、ifier or inverter permissible temperature rise; - harmonic content; - short time overload capability; - ventilation during charging period - limits under transient conditions, e.g. sudden removal of 50 % of full load, - ac. output fault currents, - d.c. current ripple; - battery characteristics. The

48、 supplier should state the battery temperature at which the batteries should have not less thm the required performance. NOTE It is usual for the purchaser to ensure that the voltage regulation between the UPS output terminals and the connected loads is within permissible limits. Noncompliance with

49、the specified performance requirements may be taken into account in the overall assessment of the supplier offer.
