Crosstalk effects are near end crosstalk (NEXT), far end crosstalk (FEXT), equal l
16、evel far end crosstalk (ELFEXT), attenuation to crosstalk ratio (ACR) and power sum of crosstalk (PS). It is to be read in conjunction with Part 1-1 of EN 50289, which contains essential provisions for its application. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates, by dated or undated r

24、ide : nominal impedance of the CUT Accuracy of test Set-up : I 5 % 5 Test sample The cable under test (CUT) shall have a minimum length of 100 m if not otherwise specified and both ends of the CUT shall be prepared, such that when connected to the terminals of the test equipment the twisting of the
25、pairs/quads is maintained. EN 50289-1-10:2001 -6- 6 Test procedure 6.1 Calibration procedure 6.1.1 Insertion loss of test set-up The insertion loss of the transformers and test set-up shall be measured over the whole specified frequency range. The calibration data shall be saved, such that the resul
26、ts may be corrected. Receiver 7 Figure 1 - Calibration set-up 6.1.2 Crosstalk of test set-up The crosstalk of the test set-up shall be measured in the following way: The symmetrical measuring ports of the generator and receiver shall be terminated with the nominal impedance of the CUT. The crosstalk
27、 shall be measured over the whole specified frequency range, and at the same frequency points as for the calibration procedure. The crosstalk shall be corrected: acheck(f)c = acai(f) - acheck(f) (dB) where acai(f) = insertion loss measured at calibration procedure acheck(f) = crosstalk measured at c
28、hecking procedure (4) The corrected crosstalk acheck(f)C shall be at least 10 dB better over the whole frequency range than the specified values of the cable. A lower margin would lead to inferior accuracy. 6.2 Measuring procedure The test sample shall be connected to the symmetrical measuring ports
29、. The set-up has to be optimised, so that the mismatch between the measuring ports and the sample is minimised. The pairs/quads which are connected to the measuring devices shall be matched with their nominal impedance at the other cable end. Any cable screens shall be grounded at both ends. For uns
30、creened cables and for cables with an overall screen all quads/pairs in the cable under test shall be terminated. For cables with individually screened pairs, termination is only needed for pairs connected to the measurement equipment. -7- EN 50289-1-10:2001 All terminations should provide terminati
31、on of both the differential and common mode signal. The nominal value for the differential mode termination is equal to the characteristic impedance of the cable. The nominal value of the common mode termination is 50 R. Values from 25 R to 100 R may be used. The crosstalk shall be measured over the
32、 whole specified frequency range and at the same frequency points as for the calibration procedure. All pairskide of quads combinations shall be measured. NOTE Due to localised couplings, NEXT measurement results are different from both ends of the CUT. FEXT and EL-FEXT measurement results are diffe
