8、and repmducing systems Part 2 : Calibration tapes, published by the European Committee for Electrokchnical Standardization (CENELEC). It is identical with IEC 942 : 1994 and its corrigendum (March 1995), published by the International Electrotechnicd Commission (EX). The cross-reference of this stan

9、dard as Part 2 of the BS 6288 series has been retained to facilitate reference to other parts of the series. This British Standard supersedes BS EN 600942 : 1994 (BS 6288 : Part 2 : 1994), which is withdrawn. This edition does not reflect a full review or revision of the standard, which will be unde

10、rtaken in due course. 12、frequency response. Each section shall be recorded at a recording angle of 90“ i 1. relative to the edge of the tape. Over the frequency range used, all of the octave frequencies of the preferred ISO/R 266 frequencies, relative to 1 O00 Hz, shall be used. Additional frequencies shall be used from th

13、e one-third octave. If further frequencies are required, one-sixth octave shall be applied. Each section shall be announced and the official IEC languages are preferred. At the beginning of the tape, the standard tape speed to which the calibration refers, the characteristic to which the tape has be

14、en recorded and the date of recording shall be announced, for instance “IEC calibration tape for 38,l cm/s (15 inis) recorded to a 35 ps time constant in accordance with IEC Publication 94, first edition“. 15、 beginning of each section shall specify the content of that section: for the reference level section, the short-circuit flux per unit track width; and for the other sections, the short-circuit flux level relative to that of the reference level section; for example: - Reference level section: - Azim

16、uth section: 1 O00 Hz at 320 nWb1m. 1 O00 Ht at minus 10 dB. - Amplitude/frequency response section: 1 O00 Hz at minus 20 dB. Announcements shall be recorded at a peak level slightly lower than the recorded signals in that section. An instruction sheet shall accompany each tape. It shall specify the

17、 relevant IEC publi- cations and the date of production of the calibration tape and shall include at least a description of the contents of the tape. 4 lapes for use at speeds of 38,1 cmls (15 In1s) and 19,05 cm1s (7 112 Ink) 4.1 Reference level section A signal at the reference frequency, preferabl

18、y of 1 O00 i 30 Hz, shall be recorded at a specified short-circuit flux per unit track width, preferably of 320 nWb/m, and having a distortion of less than or equal to 1 %. The duration of the signal shall be at least 30 s. The tolerance of the reference flux of commercially available calibration ta

19、pes shall not exceed 15 %. 4.2 Azimuth section Signals of 1 O00 Hz and 10 O00 Hz shall be recorded. The 1 O00 Hr signal shall be recorded at a specified short-circuit flux per unit track width, preferably of 100 nWb1m. The duration of the signal shall be at least 10 s and 60 s respectively. 4.3 Ampl

20、itude/frequency response section The following signals shall be recorded, preferably in the order shown. The first 1 O00 Hz signal, recorded at a specified short-circuit flux per unit track width of at least 32 nWblm, shall be the reference signal. Each signal shall have a duration of at least 10 s.

23、ing 10 O00 Hz shall not exceed 0,5 dB and shall not exceed 1 dB over 10 O00 Hz, measured with an appropriate track per reproduction channel. 5 Tapes for use at a speed of 933 cmis (3 314 Ink) 5.1 Reference level section A signal at the reference frequency, preferably of 315 f 10 Hz, shall be recorde

The tolerance of the reference flux of commercially available calibration tapes shall not exceed 15 Yo. 5.2 Azi

25、muth section Signal of 315 Hz and 10 O00 Hz shall be recorded. The 315 Hz signal shall be recorded at a specified short-circuit flux per unit track width, preferably of 50 nWb1m. The duration of the signals shall be at least 1 O s and 60 s respectively. 5.3 Amplitude/frequency response section The f

26、ollowing signals shall be recorded, preferably in the order shown. The first 315 Hz signal, recorded at a specified short-circuit flux per unit track width of at least 25 nWb/m, shall be the reference signal. Each signal shall have a duration of at least 1 s. 36、based on new technology, calibration tapes from different sources have led to divergent results when played on any one particular player. Steps have been taken to unify the methods of measurement and these steps have resulted in a unified calibration tape which conforms to the established recording.
