38、rafting ofthisInternational Standard that the execution of itsprovisions is entrusted to appropriately qualified and experienced persons.This standard recognizes the internationally accepted level of protection against hazards suchas electrical, mechanical, thermal,fire and radiation of appliances w
39、hen operated as innormal use takinginto account the manufacturers instructions. It also covers abnormalsituations that can be expectedinpractice and takes into account the way in whichelectromagnetic phenomena can effect the safe operation of appliances .This standard takes into account the requirem
40、ents of IEC 60364 as far as possible sothatthere is compatibility with the wiringrules when the appliance is connected to the supplymains. However, national wiring rules may differ.If an appliancewithin the scope of this standard also incorporates functions that are coveredby another part 2 ofIEC 60
41、335, the relevant part 2is applied to each function separately, asfar as is reasonable. If applicable, theinfluenceof one function on the other is takenintoaccount.An appliance that complies with thetextof this standard will not necessarily be considered tocomply with the safety principlesofthe stan

This European Standard deals with the safety of electric massage appliances for household environment, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.
