For products having mechanical moving parts, a risk assessment in accordance with the Machinery Directi

38、ardrecognizesthe internationally accepted levelof protection against hazardssuchas electrical, mechanical, thermal,fire and radiation of appliances when operated as in normal use taking intoaccount the manufacturers instructions. It also coversabnormalsituations thatcan be expectedinpractice and tak
39、es into account the way in whichelectromagnetic phenomena can affect the safe operation of appliances.This standard takes into accountthe requirements of IEC 60364 as far as possible sothatthere is compatibilitywith the wiring ruleswhen the appliance is connected to the supply mains. However, nation
40、al wiring rules may differ.If an appliance within the scope of this standard also incorporates functions that are coveredfar as is reasonable. If applicable, the influence of one function on the other is taken into account.An appliance that complieswith the text of this standard will not necessarily

47、 heaters and theirassociated control units, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being notmore than 250 V.Appliances not intended for normal householduse,but that nevertheless maybe a source ofdanger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used in hotels, are within the s
48、cope ofthis standard. As far asis practicable, this standard deals with the common hazardspresented byappliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home.
