This test
18、 may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of this test is to define a standard test method to assess the ability of components to withstand specified severities of sinusoidal vibration. 1.2 Normative references The following normative documents contai

24、er such that all mechanical features, such as panel-mounting arrangements, locking and retaining devices, are fully utilized. Details of the monitoring circuit, including the method and attachment points of sensors on the specimen shall be specified. A minimum of 200 mm of wire or cable shall be uns
25、upported on both ends of the specimen, unless otherwise specified in the detail specification. The wire or cable shall be secured to the vibration fixture bottom plate (or similar location). 3 Test method This test shall be carried out in accordance with IEC 60068-2-6, Test Fc: Vibration (sinusoidal
26、), using the degree of severity specified in the detail specification. 4 Test conditions The specimens shall be vibrated in each of three mutually perpendicular directions, one of which shall be parallel to the engagement direction. The vibration magnitude shall be monitored (for controlling the gen
27、erator) at locations as near as possible to the specimen mounting points. The environment temperature, if other than ambient, shall be specified. 5 Measurements 5.1 5.2 Measurements during the test Unless otherwise specified by the detail specification, monitoring of electrical continuity shall be c
28、arried out according to IEC 60512-2-5, Test 2e: Contact disturbance. Initial measurements shall be carried out as specified by the detail specification. The contacts and screen shall be connected in series as specified in the detail specification when monitoring continuity. The electrical load condi
29、tion shall be 100 mA for all contacts unless otherwise specified. The limit of duration of contact disturbance shall be specified in the detail specification. 5.3 Final measurements The specimen shall be electrically and mechanically checked by the following tests, unless otherwise specified in the
30、detail specification. Visual examination: IEC 60512-1-1, Test la The specimen shall be visually examined without dismantling. There shall be no loosening, displacement of parts or mechanical damage such as to impair operation. Contact resistance - Millivolt level method: IEC 60512-2-1, Test 2a. O BS

Sealing (if applicable): IEC 60512-7, Test 14b or other sealing tests as specified in the detail specificat ion. The leakage rate across all seals, including pan

Operational check The mechanical operational characteristics shall be checked according to the detail specification. 6 Details to be specified When this test is required by the detail specification, the following details shal
33、l be specified: a) method of mounting the specimen and associated cable(s)/wire bundle, including the unsupported length of cable from contact to first clamp; b) test severity (frequency range, displacement amplitude, acceleration level, duration); c) limit of duration of contact disturbance; d) con
34、tact resistance, maximum value; e) maximum leakage rate; f) operational characteristics to be checked; g) any deviation from the standard test method.
