22、s sectional specification is part of the relevant specification for Type SC-D(up1ex) connectors. The specification, along with the appropriate blank detail specification, defines the requirements and the quality assessment procedures for the subfamily. Type SC-D(up1ex) is a subfamily of two-way opti

37、74-19 : 1997 3 Quality assessment procedures The quality assessment procedures specified herein and in section 3 of IEC 874-1 apply. 3.1 Qualification approval 3.1 .1 Fixed sample procedure When specified, the fixed sample procedure shall be in accordance with 3.3.1 of IEC 874-1. The relevant blank

38、detail specification contains the minimum mandatory test schedules and performance requirements for qualification by the fixed sample procedure. The complete set of mandatory test schedules and performance requirements shall be specified in the detail specif ication. Upon successful completion of th

39、e tests, qualification approval will be granted for the complete range of variants submitted as structurally similar. 3.1.1.1 Sample size The sample size for qualification by the fixed sample procedure shall be specified in the detail specification. The specimens shall be complete connector sets of

40、a variant for the fibre core diameter specified in the detail specification. In addition, the following samples shall be provided: - one specimen of each plug variant to be qualified by structural similarity to the one used for group O; - one specimen of each adaptor variant to be qualified by struc

41、tural similarity to the one used for group O; - one specimen of each socket variant to be qualified by structural similarity to the one used for group o“. Following completion of the group O tests, the specimens for the other groups shall be randomly selected from the group O sample. 3.1 -1.2 Prepar

42、ation of specimens Test specimens for kit arrangements shall be terminated using the smallest core diameter specified in the detail specification. The fibrekable type and lengths to be used for all arrangements shall be as specified in the detail specification. 3.1.1.3 Testing The tests shall be con

43、ducted in the order given, in accordance with the method specified and the specimens shall satisfy the performance requirements of the detail specification. The additional variant specimens (see 3.1.1.1) shall be tested to all group O tests and shall meet the requirements of the detail specification
