19、andards is intended to facilitate inter-application integration asopposed to intra-application integra tion. Intra-application integration is aimed at programs i nthe same application system, usuallycommunicating with each other using middleware that isembedded in their underlying runtimeenvironment
20、,and tends tobeoptimized for close, real-time, synchronous connections and interactive request/replyor conversation communicationmodels. IEC61968, by contrast, is intended to support the inter-application integration of autility enterprise that n eeds to connect disparate applic ations that are alre
21、adybuilt ornew(legacyor purchased applications), each supported bydissimilar runtime environments. Therefore, these interface standards are relevant to loosely coupledapplications with more heterogeneity in languages, operating systems, protocols and management tools. This seriesof standards isintend
22、ed to support applications that need toexchange data every fewseconds, minutes, orhours rather thanwaiting for a nightlybatch run. This series ofstandards, which are intended to be implemented withmiddlewareservices that exchange messages among applications, will complement, not replace utility data
23、warehouses,database gateways, and operational stores. As used in the IEC 61968series, a DMS consists ofvarious distributed applicationcomponents for the utility to manage electrical distribution ne tworks. These capabilitiesinclude monitoring and control of equipment for power delivery, management p

32、 IEC 61968-1,the contents of the message types are based ona staticinformation model to ensure consistency of field names and data types. Each message type isdefined as a set of fields copied from the information model cl asses. The message typesdefined in this standard areintended to satisfy a majo

In someparticularproject implementations, it may be desirable to modifythe set of fieldsusing a methodologysuch as that described in IEC 61968-1.3.2 Interface reference modelIt is not the intention of the IEC 61968 series to definethe applications and systems thatvendor

Unless explicitly shownotherwise, allmessage type associations are simple associations. 4.2 Network Data

The m essage contents could be part ofa feeder, a single feeder or more than one feeder. The data could be either the

It may also contain references to Assets performing the roles ofthe associated types ofPowerSyst
