This part of IEC 62149 covers the performance standards for transceivers for plastic optical fibre applications. Page4

27、 EN621496:200362149-6 IEC:2003 11 FIBRE OPTIC ACTIVE COMPONENTS AND DEVICES PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Part 6: 650-nm 250-Mbit/s plastic optical fibre transceivers 1 Scope This part of IEC 62149 specifies the performance standards for 650 nm 250 Mbps transceivers for plastic optical fibre application. It

28、 specifies the parameters which apply, with clearly defined conditions, severities, and pass/fail criteria. The tests are intended to be run as an initial design verification to prove any products ability to satisfy the performance standards requirements. A product that has been shown to meet all th

29、e requirements of a performance standard can be declared as complying with the performance standard, but should then be controlled by a quality assurance/quality conformance program. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document. 34、 minimum) ratings, which are listed in Table 1, imply that no catastrophic damage will occur if the product is subject to these ratings for short periods, provided each limiting is applied separately and all other parameters have values within their ranges of variability. It should not be assumed th

Qualification maintenance is car

44、ried using periodic testing programs. Test conditions for all tests unless otherwise stated are 25 C 2 C. 5.1 Characterization testing Characterization shall be carried out on at least 20 transceivers taken from at least three different manufacturing lots.
