The work of preparing International Standard
18、s is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take
19、part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is t

35、rinciples of testing 3 Principle The acrylic, modacrylic, chlorofibre or elastane is dissolved out from a known dry mass of the mixture, with dimethylformamide at 90 C to 95 C. The residue is collected, washed, dried and weighed; its mass, corrected if necessary, is expressed as a percentage of the
36、dry mass of the mixture, and the percentage of acrylic, modacrylic, chlorofibre or elastane is found by the difference. 4 Reagents Use the reagents described in ISO 1833-1 together with that given in 4.1. 4.1 Dimethylformamide, boiling point 152 C to 154 C. To the specimen contained in the conical flask, add 150 ml of dimethylformamide per

If there are difficulties in dissolving the acrylic portion of the specimen completely, add an extra volume of 50 ml of dimethylformamide. Shake the flask and contents gently by

Add a further 60 ml of dimethylformamide to the flask and heat it for 30 min at 90 C to 95 C, shaking the flask and contents gently by hand twice during this period. Filter th

If the residue consists of animal fibre, cotton, viscose, cupro or modal fibre, transfer it with forceps to a 200 ml glass-stoppered flask, add 160 ml of water and allow the f
