In the Fit step TPs are grouped according to the type of the test (compatibility checking, add
40、ress checking or checking based on UUI). Test purposes for compatibility checking are further grouped according to basic services to be tested, the direction of the call, does the IUT support or does not support the given basic service (compatible or incompatible With the type of the call) and if ap
41、propriate according to additional capabilities (e.g. support of the faiiback function). At the outgoing call direction for a given terminal equipment is tested for each service in the set of basic services and applications (e.g. rate adaption) supported by the Terminal Ekpipment (TE) for outgoing ca
42、lls. At the incoming call direction each basic service and application considered by the base document(s) are tested. For services and applications supported by the TE the “compatible“ subgroup shall be selected, for services and applications not supported by the TE! the “incompatible“ subgroup shal
43、l be chosen, Test purposes in the “address checking“ and “checking of UUI“ groups are basic service independent and selected based on the terminal equipment capability to support these optional functions. 5.1.1 Test Purpose (TP) naming convention Test Purposes are numbered, starting at 001, within e

EG 201 018 i describes the combinations of codings for the BC, LLC and HLC information elements to be used by terminal equipments at the calhg side and expected at the called side. The codings of the
47、 BC, HLC and LLC information elements used in TPs are based on these combinations; and the decision regarding TE! conformance to different basic services is based on these combinations.
