、rmation Handling Services, 2000Page 9Final draft prETS 300 342-3: June 19991 ScopeThis European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) covers the assessment of radio communication andancillary equipment in respect of ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC). Technical specifications, relevantto the antenna por

、t and emissions of the enclosure port for base stations and repeaters, are found in therelated product standard for the effective use of the radio spectrum. This ETS specifies the applicable EMC tests, the methods of measurements, the limits and the minimumperformance criteria for the following class

、es of equipment meeting Phase 2 requirements of the GSMdigital cellular telecommunications system, and operating in the P-GSM 900, E-GSM 900 or DCS 1 800bands:- equipment forming part of the Base Station System (BSS);- associated ancillary equipment;- ancillary RF amplifiers, for transmission and/or

、 reception;- GSM repeaters. This ETS is also applicable to:- equipment which operates in other frequency bands, provided that the performance requirements(other than operating frequency) are the same as the Phase 2 GSM requirements for the antennaand the enclosure ports contained in this ETS;- equipm

、ent which is designed to meet Phase 1 GSM requirements, provided that it also meets thePhase 2 GSM requirements for the antenna and the enclosure ports contained in this ETS.NOTE 1: This provision is particularly intended for equipment which is designed to meet eitherthe Phase 1 or the Phase 2 GSM r

、equirements by a change of software. The environment classification used in this ETS refers to the environment classification used in theGeneric Standards EN 50081-1 1 and EN 50082-1 2.For the purposes of this ETS, Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), and single cabinet Base Station Systems(BSS), are con

The levels however, do not cover extremecases which may occur in any location but with low probability of occurrence. This ETS may not cover thos
