3、vision Description entries must form a clear record of every step in a change and be readily located on the body of the drawing. As such, each change is located on the body of the drawing using a Revision Balloon containing a revision letter and its number index enclosed in a 6mm diameter circle or
4、elongated circle 6mm high for 2 characters or more. The Revision Balloons shall be placed on the drawing as close to the area of change as is practical, see Figure A-2.6. NOTE: It is permissible to add leader(s) with an arrowhead to a revision balloon to identify the area of change. 3.1.14.2 Previou
5、s Revision Balloons may be removed from the drawing as an aid to clarity when a change occurs that causes a Revision Balloon to be repositioned or when the change itself causes the Revision Balloon to have no meaning. 7、: Changes to or removal of existing dimensions, part numbers, etc., or where further data are added. In this case, each separate revision is identified and recorded as shown in Figure A2.5. 3.1.15.1.2 CATEGORY B: Revisions which involve notes being removed or revised, or extensive dimensional additi
8、ons and removals, not replacing each other directly. In this case, a general statement is made indicating what is being done, for example repositioned holes, redimensioned flange, etc. 3.1.15.2 It is permissible to place one Revision Balloon on the drawing to identify the general location of the num

14、the creation of a new part and require a new suffix, which will be advised by the design responsible engineer. The change indicator (last letter of suffix) must be revised to the next letter, and the change recorded in revision block. The responsibility for the determination of the suffix belongs to
15、 the engineer responsible for the component. All revisions are to be either recorded in the Revision Column on sheet one, or the

In the latter case, the “sheet one” revision block will be used as an index to record which sheets have been revised. 3.1.21.2 Sheet numbering will be indicated on the first sheet (Sheet 1) only: (i.e., Sheet 1 of

All other sheets will only indicate their respective sheet number with no reference to the total number of sheets, employing the format: Sheet x of _ (i.e., Sheet 34 of _). 3.1.21.3 Optional Revision Practice for Multi-Sheet Drawings Where it is desired to minimize the amount of data sent via
30、electronic release systems, it is permissible to release only the sheets of a drawing that have been revised. 40、milar Parts. Tabulating a new part, on an existing drawing, will require changes to that drawing such as additional views to describe the differences from the original part. Part Tabulation is an efficient way of maintaining commonality, such as tooling and gaging, where a separate drawing could div
41、erge from the original parts requirements. See Standard B-1, Figure B-1.1 and para. 2.1.3. 3.1.23 Effect On Other Drawings 3.1.23.1 Revisions must be considered for their effect on other drawings as well as on the drawing being revised. If the physical characteristic of the part is changed, the asse
42、mbly drawing or illustration drawing must be revised to agree with the detail. The note REVISED PICTORIALLY IN LINE WITH . . . .(give part number) must be recorded in the revision block on the assembly or illustration drawing. See Figure A2.15. In addition, a redraw can be made of a part undergoing revision if little or no extra work would be entailed by so d
45、oing or when it is necessary to free the revision block. 3.1.24.2 In order that the revision references shall reflect the history of the component rather than that of the drawing sheet currently in use, the revision letters on a redrawn drawing shall continue in sequence from those on the previous d
46、rawing(s), only reverting to the letter A when it would be necessary to use double letters. NOTE: When a multipart drawing is redrawn, the initial release numbers of additional parts added to the drawing should not be perpetuated, except when the last change made to the drawing includes the adding o
47、f a part. Then this release number should be contained in the revision block as shown in the revision block. 3.1.25 Practices 3.1.25.1 Redraws shall be treated as new drawings, in which re-spacing and relocating of views are permissible. All redrawn drawings shall conform to the latest version of FECDS. 3.1.25.2 When the existing original is used, all information shown in the revision block is removed except the original release information.
