Themedium may be water, water with chemical admixture, compressed air,or a combination of water and compressed air. Soluble oil or quenchoil may also be used provided that an adequate
4、 automatic and manualfire extinguishing system is incorporated in the machine that willcomply with FL and Ford safety requirements.5.2 Caustic solution may be used for quenching provided that thesolution be prevented from coming in contact with brass or copperportions of the equipment.5.3 Where quen
5、ch media is recirculated, means shall be provided toindicate and control its temperature. Heating and cooling of themedia shall be furnished as required to meet Part print orspecification.5.4 Unless otherwise specified, means shall be furnished to filtercirculated quench media to insure that impurit
6、ies in the media donot foul or plug spray orfices.6. COOLING THE COMPONENTS OF THE EQUIPMENT:6.1 The cooling of the components to increase their service life, shallbe accomplished by means of clean air or clean water. Cooling watershall be circulated through a closed system which shallautomatically

8、all be recirculated.6.3 Cooling pumps and heat exchangers for recirculating water systemshall be located outside the control enclosure and piped with rigidPVC or non-ferrous piping. The cooling system shall be an integralpart of the assembly. The reservoir shall be constructed ofstainless steel or n
9、on-ferrous material.7. ENCLOSURES:7.1 Enclosures shall conform with NEMA 12 construction and shall havemetal to metal (copper alloy) radio frequency weather strippingaround the complete perimeter of the enclosure opening.7.2 Enclosures shall be constructed in accordance with section E-7 asoutlined i
10、n Ford Manufacturing Standards EX-1.7.3 Access to enclosures shall be by means of doors hung on heavyhinges; removable panels are not acceptable. Hinges are to bejumpered with flexible metal braid. Three point vault type latchmechanisms are preferred. Reference JIC electrical standardsparagraph E7.6
11、.2 and E7.6.3, door handles not interlocked with maindisconnect switch, shall be provided with means for padlocks.7.4 Access doors shall be provided with switches interlocked in controlcircuits to automatically disconnect all power circuit voltages whendoors are opened. Switches to be manual bypass
12、automatic reset.7.5 Doors giving access to adjustment controls shall be equipped withmeans for padlocking.7.6 Transparent non-conductive observation doors shall be installedbehind metal doors giving access to high voltage section. In thiscase interlock switch shall be on transparent door, not metal
13、door.In the event that physical limitations prevent the installation ofthe transparent doors, shielded viewing ports shall be installed inthe metal access doors. Viewing Ports shall be of adequate size forviewing the operation of the equipment in the enclosure, and shallbe shielded to radio frequenc
14、y.7.7 Incandescent lighting shall be installed in each section ofenclosure. Lights shall be controlled by a switch mounted onoutside of enclosure.
