3、drawing sheet size. 3.10 LETTERING AND SEQUENCE OF DRAWING ITEMS 3.10.1 Previously used Letters that have been removed from the released drawing shall not be reused and alphabetical sequencing shall omit the letters I, O and Q. LINES: Letter sequence starts at Z. When A is reached, sequence is ZZZAY

4、ZYA, etc. POINTS: Letter sequence starts at A. When Z is reached, sequence is AAAZBABZ, etc. NOTE: It is permissible to codify point callouts using alpha-numeric designations for drawing clarity, e.g. PT A1, PT A2. or PT TUB1_1, PT TUB1_2. etc. VIEWS: Letter sequence starts at Z. When A is reached,

5、sequence is ZZZAYZYA, etc. SECTIONS: Letter sequence starts at A. When Z is reached, sequence is AAAZBABZ, etc. DATUMS: Letter sequence starts at A. Reference ASME Y14.5-2009, paragraph 3.3.2. 3.11 RECORD OF LAST LETTERS USED 3.11.1 On large or complicated drawings it is necessary to provide a quick

6、 reference of the latest letters used to identify lines, points, views, sections, etc. This is achieved by placing the boxes shown in Figure C-5.11 immediately inside the border of a drawing near the general note space.
