6、 USED IN UNITS: Relays shall be used as the outputdevice in Units and shall be “off-the-shelf“ commonlyavailable types, for ease of replacement (if design permitssuch replacement). Special types which cannot be purchasedfrom U.S. electrical/electronic distributors shall not beused.3.2.7 CONTACT CONF

7、IGURATION: Units shall not contain any fuses orovercurrent protection in the output circuits. Unit shallutilize isolated contacts for output signals. Unit shallprovide at least one (1) normally open and one (1) normallyclosed contact. Units with (2) normally open and (2) normallyclosed contacts shal

8、l be available as an option.3.2.8 CONTACT OPERATION AND RATINGS: Unit shall have no more than50ms of delay from operator actuation to output closed, and nomore than 30ms of delay from operation deactuation to outputopen. Contact rating shall meet the requirements of NEMA ICS2-216.22 “Heavy Duty Push

9、buttons and Selector Switches -Contact Ratings.“ In general, the Unit shall be capable ofenergizing a Ford-approved four-pole, industrial machine toolrelay at a rate of at least 20 operations per minute, 50% dutycycle, and continuous operation under worst case voltages asdefined in Section 3.2.1 of

10、this Standard. Suppliers shallclearly define and state the load ratings for inrush current,make and break, for both resistive and reactive loads.3.2.9 CONTACT LIFE AND BOUNCE: Units shall have a minimum contactlife of 5 million operations under Suppliers stated fullload. Units shall be tested for co

11、ntact bounce both before andafter completion of all other tests required in this Standard.The Units shall pass the Contact bounce tests in Ford StandardEC2, section 8.4.3.2.10 ACTUATION INDICATORS: Electronic Units shall have indicators,which do not protrude above the enclosure for:(1) Power is On (

12、2) Unit is Actuated (3) Optionally: Unit hasfaulted (separate indicator or alternate flashing ofindicators for (1) and (2) is acceptable)3.2.11 SERIES AND PARALLEL CIRCUITS: Two Units shall be capable ofbeing wired in series or parallel, under worst case conditionsas specified in this Standard, with

13、out affecting the properoperation of the Relay or PLC control circuit (load) to whichthey are connected. 15、lectronic palm buttons, whether used singly| or in pairs, shall not be used wherever inadvertent actuation from| liquids could occur during normal operations. Ford-approved,| electromechanical palm buttons should be used for all wet area| applications.| NOTE: Denotes area of change in previous issue.|
