SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a wet formed ceramic sheet with aluminum foil laminated to one or both sides as required by the end use. 2. APPLICATION This spec ification was released originally for material used as a heat

3、shield for chassis components such as power steering gear and powertrain isolation hydromount. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys

4、 Quality System Requirements. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwis

Prior to making any changes

11、to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notifica

12、tion of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this

13、document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS- M99P9999- A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS This specification is intended to define the performance and/or properties of finished parts or systems of combined materials. An Engineering Material Approved Source lis

14、ting is not applicable for this specification. Product Engineering materials referenced in this document and/or the affected engineering drawing, which require prior Engineering approval, are shown in the Engineering Material Approved Source List under the specification cited. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION

15、 The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. The physical properties noted in section 3.4 are for the ceramic material only. The properties will differ significantly from the stated values depending on whether foil is laminated to one or both sides of the ceramic. Contact the supplier where further values on the laminate itself are required.
