SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are: ESB-M2E66-B Pressed wood panelboard,
3、 i.e., hardboard. ESB-M2E66-C More dense, higher impact, formable grade of panelboard. ESB-M2E67-B ESB-M2E66-B panelboard, coated with a bonding resin in the areas as indicated on the engineering drawing. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for materials used in the followin
4、g applications: ESB-M2E66-B Foundation for door and quarter trim panels, sun visors, package trays, and front and rear seat backs. ESB-M2E66-C Structural rear seat back on the 1975 Mustang and Pinto. ESB-M2E67-B Foundation for dielectric bonded door and quarter trim panels. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STAND
5、ARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 THICKNESS As specified on engineering drawings (SAE J 315b) Thickness variation on any board used in heat bonding operatio

To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall
13、be in accordance with FLTM BN 24-2. 3.15 PERFORMANCE - ENVIRONMENTAL AGING All materials, portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have not been treated, modified or reformulated and exceed a max burn rate of 76 mm per min as specified by the Flammability Lot Samplin
14、g Plan of FLTM BN 24-2 must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardant properties per ESB-M25P3-A according to the accelerated environmental aging requirements applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. 16、 rate, must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physical properties per ESB-M25P3-A applicable to the basic materials category of this particular specification. 3.16 FLAMMABILITY TEST PROGRAM Materials, portions of componen
17、ts, and composites governed by this specification must also comply with the requirements of ES-D3AB-11014-AA. 3.17 ESB-M2E67-B BONDING 3.17.1 Objectionable Contaminants Any board used for dielectric bonding shall be free of metallic particles, and shall be suitable for the intended application. 3.17
18、.2 Compatibility The dielectric grade boards must bond satisfactorily in the dielectric operations in conjunction with approved component materials in the assembly, under approved conditions. The type and weight of adhesive will vary depending on application and should be agreed upon between supplie
