、Page 1 of 5 ENAMEL, BAKING, ONE COAT, LOW AND MEDIUM GLOSS, ESB-M2J217-A POLISH RESISTANT, EXTERIOR NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high quality, high baking, polish resistant thermosetting enamel, suitable for exterior exposure on highly visibl
、e plastic components. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for exterior plastic components, such as nylon cowl top grilles, window moldings, window louvers, etc., in which the coating would perform both as a primer-sealer and a durable topcoat. The coating can also be used over
、primed plastics where the primer promotes leveling and D.I. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUICTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 COMPOSITION 3.1.1 Vehicle The fixed
、vehicle and the hydrocarbon thinners shall be selected and balanced by the individual supplier, in such a manner that the product meets all the requirements of this specification. The proportions of solvents in the volatile portion shall be so arranged that the enamels will level out satisfactorily
、on spray application. The volatility of the solvents is to be so chosen that three medium wet spray coats will give a dried film of at least 0.0015 in (39 m) without sagging and with satisfactory freedom from roughness of dry spray. The volatile portion shall contain sufficient active solvents to gi
