Remove part from water and wipe dry with a clean unused paper towel or cloth. Parts that are
12、difficult to wipe by hand, particularly in recessed areas, may be blown dry with oil and moisture free compressed air. Immediately apply with firm thumb pressure, ESF-M3G48-A tape to all painted areas of the part. In the event that part complexity requires significant time for tape application, area
13、s of greatest visual contact should be tested first. In no case should the time between dry-off and testing exceed 10 min. Remove the tape by pulling one end at a 90 angle at a moderate speed. Failures are defined as follows: Frontal, Perpendicular and Side, Recessed Surfaces on Radiator Grilles and All Surfaces on All Other Parts . A square is rated a failure
18、if more than 5 spots (of any size) of paint separation occur within any given square. . If more than 2% of the squares in a grid are classified a failure, this shall constitute a lot failure and rejection of that lot. Rear Surfaces on Radiator Grilles .
