4、ity, etc., where required, shall be specified on the engineering specification (ES). 3.3.4 Heat Resistance Test Method: Expose samples in a mechanical convection oven to achieve a surface temperature of 163 +/- 2 C for 30 min. 3.3.4.1 Unpainted Parts or Assemblies Shall not exhibit any surface imper

5、fections such as blisters, pits, dry spots or cracks, etc. Surface imperfections shall be determined using a red concentrate dye in oil suspension (Magnaflux Corporation No. 9CM or equivalent). 3.3.4.2 Painted Parts or Assemblies Shall not exhibit any surface cracking, pitting, warpage or blistering

6、 of any type. 3.3.5 Adhesive Bonded Assemblies All parts which are bonded with a normal adhesive system used for glass fiber reinforced polyester shall meet the requirements of ESB-M11P27-A. 3.3.6 Paintability Molded parts shall be process in keeping with the best commercial practice to insure good

7、paintability, i.e., “as molded“ surface shall be free of contaminants which would affect paint adhesion, when painted in accordance with released Ford Motor Company specifications for painting glass fiber reinforced polyester plastics. Exterior, highly visible parts which are furnished primed, or fu

8、lly painted shall conform to the requirements of Engineering Performance Specification ESB-M2P7-B1. 3.3.7 Parts should be “in mold“ coated for improved surface finish, unless approval not to “in mold“ coat is received from the responsible design activities, SQA and the B&CE Product Paint Office. “In

9、 mold“ coated parts shall conform to the requirements of Engineering Performance Specification ESB-M2P124-A1 & A2. 3.4 FLAMMABILITY (ISO 3795) mm/minute Burn Rate, max 100 mm/minute The specimen size required for material approval is 355 x 100 x 2.0 +/- 0.1 mm with a smooth surface.
