2、BACKED-PRESSURE SENSITIVE-PRINTABLE ESB-M3G100-A 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a printable, paper backed, pressure sensitive tape. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for temporary labeling of small parts such as acrylic body side refl

3、ectors. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 THICKNESS 0.007 +/- 0.001 in (ASTM D 1000) (0.18 +/- 0.03 mm) 3.3 BREAKING STRENGTH, min

4、15 lb/in (2.6 N/mm) (ASTM D 1000) 3.4 UNWIND PULL, max 35 oz/in (380 N/m) width Test Method: Condition roll of tape for 22 h at 23 +/- 2 C in a relative humidity atmosphere of 50- 55%. Place core of tape around a fixture which will allow it to revolve. Attach the free end of the tape to a 5 lb (2.3

5、kg) max limit spring scale. Pull tape from its roll at the rate of 12 in (305 mm) per min. Measure and record the unwind pull as a direct scale reading. 3.5 ADHESION TO ACRYLIC RESIN, min 16 oz/in (175 N/m) width (ASTM D 1000, except determine adhesion to acrylic resin). 3.6 AGED ADHESION The tape s

6、hall be easily removed in one piece from acrylic resin, stainless steel, anodized aluminum, zinc plated, cadmium plated, or chromium plated surfaces after the exposures listed below. No more than a trace of adhesive residue shall remain on these surfaces after the tape is removed. Any adhesive resid

8、est Method: Apply a 4 in (100 mm) strip of tape to each of the following test surfaces: Acrylic resin Stainless steel Chromium plating Anodized aluminum Cadmium or zinc plating Roll the tape once in each direction with the 4.5 lb (2.0 kg) rubber covered roller described in ASTM D 1000 and expose one

9、 sample for each of the five test surfaces to the above environments. Slowly peel the tape from the test panels 2 h after exposure. Tape tearing, delamination, or excessive transfer to the test surface shall be cause for rejection. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for c

10、larification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 MATERIAL REFERENCES FOR TEST PANELS 5.1.1 Acrylic Resin: ESF-M4D9 5.1.2 Stainless Steel: ESB-M1A67 or ESB-M1A70 5.1.3 Chromium Plating: CRLC Steel or SAE 903 or 925 zinc die casting plated per ESB-M1P23. 5.1.4 Anodized Aluminum: ESB-M2A34 anodized coating per ESB-M4P6. 5.1.5 Cadmium or Zinc Plating: CRLC or HRLC steel plated per ESF-M1P5.
