2、AME RETARDANT - VINYL COATED - ONE SIDE CLOTH ESB-M3G71-B 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cloth backed, flame retardant, vinyl coated one side pressure sensitive tape. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as a wrapping for wiring assemb

3、lies and may be used as an alternate for braided covering. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Black 3.3 THREAD COUNT, min 60 x

4、 48 in2 (24 x 19/cm2) 3.4 BREAKING STRENGTH, min (ASTM D 1000, 20 in (508 mm)/min rate of pull) 3.4.1 Dry 40 lb/in (7.0 N/mm) width 3.4.2 Wet 40 lb/in (7.0 N/mm) width Test Method: Immerse specimens in tap water at 23 +/- 2 C for 6 h. Remove, blot off excess water and pull immediately. 3.5 ADHESION

5、TO BACKING 7 oz/in (77 N/m) width (ASTM D 1000, 12 in (305 mm)/min rate of pull 3.6 FLAMMABILITY Shall not support (ASTM D 568) combustion 3.7 ACCELERATED AGING, Storage Stability The adhesive shall show no signs of separating from its backing, nor loss of adhesion or tack. It shall not become a pas

6、ty or stringy mass. The backing shall not become brittle. Test Method: Apply 3 strips of tape side by side with the adhesive in contact with a glass plate 4 in (100 mm) square. Lay 3 additional strips directly on top of each strip with the adhesive side of each strip in contact with the backing side

7、 of the under piece. Press each layer of tape down smoothly by hand or by a roller. Place the plate with the test specimens in a relative humidity of 95 - 100% at a temperature of 38 +/- 1 C for 6 days. 8、 Global Technologies, LLC Page 2 of 2 After the exposure period, remove the specimens from the high humidity, allow to cool for 4 h at 23 +/- 2 C, and then examine layer by layer to determine the extent of adhesive deterioration. 3.8 FINISHED TAPE The tape shall be wound evenly on rolls so that the

9、surface of the roll shall be free from depressions. The tape shall have no liner over the adhesive and shall unroll evenly and uniformly without unraveling. The adhesive material shall not separate from the backing so as to leave bare spots or show off setting of the adhesive from one layer to anoth

10、er when the tape is unwound. When unwound from the roll, the tape shall remain reasonably flat with no tendency to curl transversely. The tape shall adhere snugly to work without wrinkling, curling, or buckling. The edges of the tape shall be straight, true and unbroken so as to provide sharp distinct boundaries to finished areas. The tape shall be wound on standard cores.
