SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a medium impact grade polypropylene molding compound. 2. APPLICATION This specificatio
3、n was released originally for material used for automotive interior trim items such as the cowl side kick panel. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, the material shall meet all requirements of ESB-M8P4-A when used for interior trim applications. Material specification requ
4、irements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall m

9、 several locations of functional part. Bend 180 (with and against grain direction) around 6.4 mm diameter mandrel at 23 +/- 2 C. Test to be conducted with both textured and back surfaces against mandrel. 3.3.13 Heat Resistance Parts shall show no visible evidence of shrinkage or distortion, or shall
10、 there be local shrinkage where the part has been gated which will interfere with assembly to mating parts, or affect its appearance. The part shall not warp to an extent that would affect its use in ultimate assembly. Test Method: Condition unassembled parts in car position for 3 h at 82 +/- 3 C (o

12、4 FLAMMABILITY, max 101 mm/minute (FLTM BN 024-02, without the lot sampling plan) In addition, the test specimen shall not exhibit any flashing or sudden flaming on either surface in excess of the above maximum value. 3.5 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform
13、 to Quality System Requirements, QS-9000. Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. A Control Plan for ongoing production verification is required. This plan must be reviewed and approved by the relevant Ford Materials activity and/or Ford Supplier Te
14、chnical Assistance (STA) prior to production parts submission. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data and assure consistent processing of the materials. Part producers using this material in their products, must use Ford approved materials and must conform to a process control plan which has been approved by STA and/or the relevant Materials Activity.
