SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a high impact modified homopolymer acetal thermoplastic compound. 2. APPLICATION This specification
3、 was released originally for material used for anti-theft door switches and seat belt shoulder strap loops. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to
4、 the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra
5、and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h pr

11、 of the above max value. 3.7 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 3.7.1 Additional requirements for material and/or manufactured parts may be specified on the Engineering drawing, Engineering parts specification, performance specification, System Design Specification (SDS) and/or Component Design Specification (
12、CDS). 3.7.2 Accelerated Weather Resistance Rating 4 - 5 400 h Weatherometer (FLTM BO 101-1, specimen size: 70 x 100 mm minimum, 3.1 +/- 0.1 mm thick, molded in smooth polished mold) After exposure, the material shall show no fading or color change in excess of specified AATCC rating (AATCC Gray Scal
13、e for Evaluating Change in Color, 10 step). In addition, there shall be no cracking, crazing or other deterioration. A slight loss of gloss or chalking will be allowed provided an acceptable appearance can be achieved by washing with mild detergents and water (ratio 5:95 by volume). NOTE: This requi
14、rement is applicable only for exposed color pigmented materials released for interior applications. 15、 in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the
16、 affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested
17、. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to
18、 the Company must have prior approval. Certain materials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approv
19、al of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstra
20、ting full compliance with all the requirements of this specification. 5.
