2、ial defined by this specification is a 3 ply laminated deadener,composed of asphalt rubber mastic and an antiblocking agent on bothsurfaces to prevent blocking during shipping and storage. TheESB-M5G19-C1 and ESB-M5G19-F1 materials have polyethylene film onone side and kraft paper on one side. The E

3、SB-M5G19-C2 and ESB-M5G19-F2 have polyethylene or polyester film on both sides.2. APPLICATION:This specification was released originally for materials used as floorpan deadeners. The ESB-M5G19-C1 and ESB-M5G19-F1 are generallyused in thicknesses of 0.1 in (2.5 mm) and 0.08 in (2.0 mm), bothwith and

4、without fiber pads as a deadener and sound barrier.The ESB-M15G19-C2 and ESB-M5G19-F2 are more pliable and can be usedin thicknesses down to 0.06 in (1.5 mm) where lower weight orgreater flexibility is desired.3. REQUIREMENTS:ESB-M5G19-C1 and ESB-M5G19-F1 were originallydesignated ESB-M5G19-C and ES

5、B-M5G19-F, and where ESB-M5G19-C( ESB-M5G19-F) are indicated on engineering drawings, patterns, specifications, etc., ESB-M5G19-C1 ( ESB-M5G19-F1) will be understood.3.1 CONDITIONINGAll test values indicated herein are based on material conditionedin a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/-

16、ammability LotSampling Plan of FLTM BN 24-2, regardless of max burn rate,must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flameretardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemicaland physical properties per ESB-M25P3-A applicable to thebasic materials category of this particular specification.

17、3.12.3 Flammability Test ProgramMaterials, portions of components, and composites governedby this specification must also comply with therequirements of ES-D3AB-11014-AA.3.13 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYMaterial supplied to this specification must be equivalent to thatoriginally approved. APPROVAL OF SUPPLIERS:Suppliers to this specification must be approved by the affected productengineering office. Procedure for gaining approval of a specificmaterial to a new/existing ES-M specification is contained in SupplierProcedure I-A. Approved new suppliers will be added to the EngineeringMaterials Approved Source List.
