SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are metallized polyester film vinyl laminates of good quality and uniform construction. 2. APPLICATION These

3、specifications were released originally as components used in the construction of interior and exterior trim which may be decorative or functional. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requireme

4、nts For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 APPEARANCE (FLTM BI 109-01) The color, pattern and finish shall match the approved Design Center master sample, or shall be as specified on the engineering drawing. 3.5 LAMINATE CONSTRUCTIONS 3.5.1 ESB-M98D17-A1 - comprised of 0.013 mm metallized po

5、lyester film, with and without topcoat, and a layer of plasticized vinyl lamina. See Laminate Construction Chart, page 4, for detailed description. 3.5.2 ESB-M98D17-A2 - comprised of 0.013 mm metallized polyester film, with topcoat, without topcoat or with a 0.0254 mm cast vinyl film, and a layer of

6、 rigid vinyl lamina. See Laminate Construction Chart, page 4, for detailed description. 3.5.3 ESB-M98D17-A3-comprised of a 0.0254 mm metallized polyester film, with either a topcoat or a 0.0254 mm cast vinyl film, and a layer of plasticized vinyl lamina. See Laminate Construction Chart, page 4, for

7、detailed description. 3.5.4 ESB-M98D17-A4-comprised of a 0.058 mm metallized polyester film, with a 0.0254 mm cast vinyl film, and a layer of plasticized vinyl lamina. 9、in 30 30 30 30 (ASTM D412) 3.6.4 Laminate Adhesion 3.6.4.1 Polyester to vinyl base, min Polyester must tear Test Method: Use a sample size of 25 mm x 150 mm. The 150 mm dimension should be in the machine direction. Hold the laminate at one end between the thumb and forefinger of both hands. Twist an

10、d stretch the laminate to loosen the bond of polyester from the base vinyl. Use the fingernails to separate the vinyl from the polyester for a distance sufficient to separately hold each lamina between the thumbs and forefingers. Slowly peel the two pieces apart, at an angle of 180. If the polyester

11、 tears, the test is passed. If the polyester peels away from the vinyl, the test is failed. 3.6.4.2 Cast vinyl to metallized 0.24 kN/m polyester, min Test Method: Use a sample size of 25 x 150 mm long. The 150 mm dimension should be in the machine direction. Hold the laminate at one end between the

12、thumb and forefinger of both hands. Twist and stretch the laminate to loosen the bond of the cast vinyl to the polyester. Use the fingernails to further separate the lamina, for a distance sufficient for mounting in the jaws of a tensile machine. Secure the polyester end in the upper jaw and the cas

13、t vinyl end in the lower jaw. Pull samples apart with a jaw separation rate of 300 mnl/min. 3.6.4.3 Hot bond test, max creep 38 mm Test Method: Cut a 13 mm by 150 mm laminate. At one end separate the metallized polyester from the vinyl substrate for a distance of approximately 6 mm. Attach a masking

14、 tape tab to the polyester and punch a small hole in the center of this tab. Mark the sample where the two lamina separate. Suspend the separated base vinyl in an air circulating oven adjusted to a temperature of 120 C. Attach a wire hook and weight assembly (totaling 25 g) to the tabbed polyester.

15、Expose in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove sample and measure the creep progression of the polyester. 16、 loss of metallizing, no delamination or discoloration. Test Method: Cut a 13 mm x 200 mm sample of laminate with a razor blade. Avoid nicks in the laminate, perform this cutting on tempered plate glass. Immerse sample for 30 minutes, at room temperature in a 10% solution of sodium hydroxide. Remove

17、, rinse with water and examine for delamination, discoloration and border metallizing loss. 3.6.6 Dimensional Stability, 3.5% Shrinkage, max Test Method: Cut a 300 mm x 300 mm length of laminate, or if the sample is to be taken from a slitted roll, a 300 mm x width supplied. Note the length and widt

18、h to the nearest 0.5 mm. Place sample on a flat metal sheet and put in an air circulating oven for 30 minutes at 121 +/- 2 C. Remove, allow to cool and remeasure to nearest 0.5 mm. 3.6.7 Resistance to Deterioration and Migration Staining at Elevated Temperatures As supplied in roll form, the laminat

19、es shall show no evidence of exudation, adhesion (tackiness), separation or color transfer after 90 days storage at 55 C. 3.6.8 Hydrogen Sulfide Staining (FLTM AN 102-01) The visual surface of all laminates shall correspond to a rating 5 when compared to the AATCC Chart for Measuring the Transferenc

20、e of Color. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Finished part supplier is responsible for parts conforming to corresponding materials specification as called out on engineering drawing. End
