SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a silicone, water emulsion lubricant (oil in water type). 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for oil used to lubricate roof side rail weat
3、herstrips and molded sponge weatherstrip corners. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Milky white 3.3 SOLIDS, min 34 % 3.3.1 Si
4、licones, min 34 % Suppliers shall furnish certification of conformance to the affected Engineering and/or Quality Control Activity. 3.4 VOLATILES, max 63 % (ASTM D 2834, except heat at 102 +/- 3 C for 24 hours.) 3.4.1 Water, max 60 % 3.5 WEIGHT 8 - 9 lb/gal (0.96-1.08 kg/l) The weight tolerance for
5、any one supplier shall be +/- 0.2 lb (90 g) based on the recorded weight of his original approved production sample. 3.6 ODOR Sweet, aromatic. 6、torage conditions. 3.8 LUBRICANT CLEAN-UP AND PAINT RECEPTIVITY The material shall be readily removed with petroleum naphtha or denatured alcohol to provide a surface receptive to paint repair with no evidence of “fish eyes“, crawling, or other visible paint defects. The test material shall be equiv
7、alent to or better than current approved production material when applied and tested under identical conditions. Test Method: Apply a thin film of lubricant to panels freshly painted with ESB-M32J100-A enamel per FLTM BI 3-2. Allow one hour air dry at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 55 % R.H. Wipe the lubricant w
8、ith a soft cloth moistened with M14J547 naphtha. Repaint with enamel and examine for paint defects. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 4.1 CAUTION This material, being a water dispersion, must be protected from freezing (below 0 C), whether in shipment or in storage. Freezing will break the emulsion and render the product unsatisfactory for use. Likewise, it is not advisable to store the material adjacent to radiators or other heating devices.
