SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a NLGI Grade 1 high temperature grease consisting of mineral oil and a lithium complex soap thickener with extreme pressure additives and oxidati
3、on and corrosion inhibitors. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used to lubricate the input-shaft spline eliminating shiftability concerns on manual transmissions. This material is also used to lubricate the output shaft bearing (transmission side) on MMT6 transm
4、issions. 3. 13、ontact with polymers such as PC, ABS, PC+ABS, ASA or acrylic. 4.9.3 Elastomer Compatibility (ASTM D 4289, 70h, 100oC, DIN 53505, DIN 53504) Note: Not tested for initial application of this grease. Grease must be tested for elastomer compatibility when used on additional applications that come in con
14、tact with elastomers. Application specific elastomer should be used for testing instead of a reference elastomer. . 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS Include additional functions under Application. Lot certification tests moved to requirements, all other requirements moved to general information. Add Functional Approval under Requirements. Add information on interface compatibility which is a requirement of WSS-M13P13-A.
