APPLICATIONThis specification was released originally for material used for inertiareel and/or static type safety belts in autom

9、e heseeks approval and reapproval for his material, with accurateconstruction, composition and original tensile s trength values x.bar-3S of minimum 20 tests.3.5 TENSILE STRENGTH(SAE Standard J4C, Paragraph 7.2)The webbing will be rejected if either edge of t he test sample breakswithin 5 % of the m

Fold the testspecimen upon itself and place a weight of 2 kg upon the bentsection for 30 minutes. The weight must be prev iously cooledto ambient temperature in the cold box. The ten sil

14、e strengthassessment is conducted within 5 minutes after removal fromthe cold box.3.5.4 Tensile Strength after Humidity Ageingmin 80 % of its original value.Place the test specimen in a humidity cabinet maintained at60 +/- 2 C and relative humidity of 65 +/- 5 % for 3 h. Thetens ile strength must be

31、101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.20 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this s

32、pecification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pri or to making any change in the properties, composition,const ruction, colour, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not such

33、change s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a ne

34、w code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa dif ferent suffix (e.g. A2 or A3) is spe

35、cified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffec

36、 ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.
