In lieu of the distilled water specified, use 30mL of solution prepared by dissolving thefollowing in 1L of distilled water:Na SO 148 mg2 4Na Cl 165 mgNa HCO 138 mg3(This provides wat

4、er with 100 ppm each of SO ,4Cl, and HCO ions.)3. Test period to be 5 h. 6、mL of glacial acetic acid and2 3 2 2diluting to 1L with cp benzene.*Test results from gasoline/cleaner solution shallbe no worse than results from gasoline testedalone.3.3 Shall have no detrimental effect on engine emissions or engineemissions components, including catalyst efficiency.3.4 Shall not

7、be harmful to automotive paint finishes.3.5 Provis ions of this specification are applicable when cleaner is usedaccording to labelling directions, unless otherwise stated.3.6 CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIESSpecific chemical and physical properties are not specified in para3.6, b ut an Engineering

8、Quality Control Supplement will be issued tocover each approved material. The selected engineering approvedsource shall furnish appropriate chemical and physical propertiesalong with the production tolerance limits that apply to thematerial(s) upon which approval was given. The agreed u pon values a

9、ndlimi ts will be issued to Quality Control by the affected productengineering office. These values will then be used by Q uality Controlfor ongoing quality verificatio ns. The Quality Control Supplement isan i ntegral requirement of this specification. If more than onesourc e supplies material to t

10、his specification, a Quality ControlSupplement will be issued for each specific approved material.3.7 LABELING3.7.1 Provisions of this specificatio n are applicable when materialis u sed according to labeling directions. Any precautionsinvolved in the use of the mate rial must be clearly stated onth

12、b) (12), 1500.3(c) (9),1500. 3(c) (10), 1500.125 and 1500.132) and all otherapplic able federal, state and local statutes, ordinances andregula tions. Supplier shall furnish the affected productengineering office with the label(s).3.7.3 Suppli er shall certify in writing to Ford Motor Company thatth

13、e comp osition of his product has been examined, that thelabel recommended is in complia nce with the Federal HazardousSubs tances Act, all applicable regulations promulgatedthereu nder or under the Consumer Product Safety Act, and allother applicable federal, state and local statutes, ordi nancesan

14、d regulations, and shall guarantee, in writing whichcont ains the name and address of Supplier and is signed bySuppli er or an authorized agent of Supplier, that no productshipped or otherwise delivered by Supplier at any time t o FordMotor Co mpany, or on its order, is, as of the date of suchshipme

15、nt or delivery, misbrande d or banned within the meaningof the Federal Hazardous Substa nces Act (see Section 5(b) (2)thereof, and 16 CFR 1500.213). Completed Material Health andSaf ety Data Sheets and Hazardous Substance Data Sheets mustbe submitted by the Supplier to the Ford Motor Companytoxicolo

16、gist.3.7.4 If applicable, Supplier shall furnish a copy of the labo ratoryreport wherein the product was evaluated under the proceduresrequired by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.3.7.5 Supplier must furnish detailed application instructions andspecific usage information for container labels. Th

17、is p ortionof the label information must be approved by the affectedproduct engineering office.3.7.6 If the label submitted by the Supplier contains anyadvert ising claims, suitable corroborative testing data mustalso be furnished. Supplier mustfurnish this code to the affect ed product engineering office.Container marking may be waived if approved in writing by theaffec

19、ted product engineering office.3.8.2 The test report data furnished by the Supplier showingco mpliance with this specification shall give the specifictest m ethods followed and shall give specific answers togeneralized requirements.3.9 PACKAGINGThe pa ckaging of the material to which this specificat

20、ion appliessh all conform with all applicable requirements of the PoisonPreve ntion Packaging Act and regulations thereunder (see especially16 CFR 1700.14(a) (11).3.10 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to this specification must be equ ivalent in allchar acteristics to the material upon

21、 which approval was originallygranted.Prio r to making any change in the properties, composition,construction, color, processing or labeling of the mater ial originallyapproved under this specificati on, whether or not such changes affectthe materials ability to meet the specification requirements,

22、theSupplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology and the affectedMaterials Engineering activity of the proposed changes and obtain thewritten approval of the Materials Engineering activity. Test data,test sam ples and a new code identification are to be submitted withthe request.Substa nce restrictio

23、ns imposed by law, regulations or Ford, apply toth e materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WSS-M99P9999-A1, unlessa differ ent suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is specified on the engineeringdocument for the application.ENGINEERING MATERIAL SP

Suppliers desiring approval oftheir mat erials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaffecte d Purch

25、asing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the Supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivi ty its own laboratory report to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecimen s for Ford evaluation. Upon approval, the material will be addedto the Engineering Material Approved Source List.
