SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a nonreinforced synthetic rubber tubing with good heat and ozone resistance. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for large diamete
3、r tubing used in low pressure or vacuum applications where good heat and ozone resistance is required such as thermactor air intake lines. This tubing has poor fuel, oil and kink resistance. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must

8、subjected to a temperature of -40 C for a period of 24 h. The tubing shall then be flexed 180 over a temperature conditioned mandrel having a diameter equal to eight times the outside diameter of the tubing under test. The test shall be conducted in the cold chamber as rapidly as possible and the op
9、erator shall wear temperature conditioned gloves. 3.8 BURST PRESSURE, min (ASTM D 380, all diameters) 3/4 in or Less 759 kPa Over 3/4 in up to 1 in 517 kPa Over 1 in NR 3.9 SOURCE IDENTIFICATION Each tubing shall have the suppliers identification marks permanently affixed. The markings shall be identical to those shown in the Rubber Manufacturers Association Source Identification Book.
