SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a dry film wax lubricant consisting of natural, synthetic and hydrocarbon waxes dispersed in naphtha. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material applied to prevailing tor

3、que lock nuts to prevent chatter and thread galling at assembly and promote consistency of torque tension relations. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (W

4、SS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COLOR Opaque, creamy yellow to amber 3.3 VISCOSITY AT 23 +/- 2 C 60 - 65 cP (mPas) 3.4 SOLIDS, min 10.5% (ASTM D 1289) 3.4.1 Melting Point of Wax Solids, min 58 C (ASTM D 127) 3.5 WEIGHT 6.25 - 6.50 lb/gal (0.75 - 0.78 kg/1) 3.6 ASH, max 0.5% (ASTM D 128) 3.7 TOXICITY Shall be no

5、ntoxic and shall not cause skin rash or irritation (dermatitis) to exposed handlers in normal production operations. Benzene and chlorinated hydrocarbon solvents are considered toxic, and their use is strictly prohibited. 3.8 STABILITY No jelling or creaming when aged for 7 days at 52 C in a closed

The Manufacturing Engineering Department shall notify both the Plant Security and the Safety Units of its presence in the Plant to assure that proper fire precautions are provided.
