SCOPE This specification defines the performance of a pressure sensitive adhesive as applied to interior appliques. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used for interior
3、 automotive decorative trim panels, to be applied to instrument cluster housings. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 BOND STRENGTH,
4、min 3.5 lb (15.6 N) (ASTM D 903, except 90 peel on a 0.5 in (13 mm) wide strip) The applique, after being bonded to its substrate with this adhesive, shall have specified minimum bond strength after completing the following cycle of environmental conditions. . 24 h at 82 +/- 1 C. . 2 h at 23 C. . 3 h at 37 +/- 1 C in 95% - 100% relative humidity. . 24 h at -29 +/- 1 C. . 3 h at 37 +/- 1 C in 95% - 100% relative humidity. . 24 h in salt spray (ASTM B 117). 3.2 QUALITY The adhesive shall have no adverse effect upon the substrate such as crazing, softening, or discoloration.
